Is anyone starting Correll Buckhalter this weekend? (1 Viewer)

Just curious to see who you are sitting (other than Westy) to put Buckhalter into your line-up.

Anyone think he is a good play this weekend? All of the rankings have him at about 20, but I find that hard to believe. The last two games he started he had 21 and 16 fantasy points, which are definitely better than 20-25 rank.

I would think many people are starting Buckhalter...as a Westbrook/Buckhalter owner, I certainly am. They're playing the 49ers and they have a chip on their shoulder...there could definitely be a number of touchdowns to go around...

...oh, and incidentally, I was actually to see Westbrook out this weekend...give him two weeks to heal, I say.

at this point I think everyone in the nfl must have a chip on their shoulder.

I've heard that phrase enough to last me the rest of my natural life.

I think what you guys aren't taking into account is that the redskins gave the rest of the nfl the blueprint for beating philly...

As laughable as the chip on the shoulder things, IMO, the blueprint idea is worse.Do you think that every team has the personnel to do what Washington did? Or other teams?That...and does anyone think the Eagles will play the exact same way?I guess Minnesota gave everyone a blueprint for beating New Orleans too right? As for Buckhalter...Im considering starting him over Turner or even LT...but just can't pull the trigger yet.

I think he's a must start unless you have 2 top 15RBs already.

Anyone worrying about Booker significantly cutting into CBuck's touches probably think they have monsters under their bed.

You're right...there's no such thing as a team playing "extra hard" because they're in a must-win situation. Also, you think (ambiguously) nit-picking semantics makes you a better person? So I used a cliched phrase...shoot me. I was writing on a message board, not for a national newspaper.

Totally agree with you here, by the way...

This is the favorite past time of some posters around here(nit-picking semantics)I am starting Buckhalter in the flex this week over Bruce. I would think he should at least get 80 total yards. He should be in for a good game.

dude, relax.
I'm not worked up. I'm pointing out that it's rude to laugh at people for no good reason. If I eye-rolled at every statement with which I disagreed, people would rightly call me a jerk. You should brush up on your etiquette and not belittle others without good cause. Also, patronizing someone, then telling them to "relax" when they don't politely ignore you is beyond arrogant.

I have to. I like his matchup better than that of J.Lewis (vs. Giants 82 Ru/YA) and Deangelo (vs. Bucs 100 Ru/YA). He seems like a decent play now that Westbrook is out for sure.

The blueprint for beating Philly is to let Reid do the playcalling. After he runs through his 20 scripted plays - he's lost. I think Buckhalter is a top 15 RB this week on opportunity alone. Booker hasn't even been a factor so far. I would think that Hunt gets more touches than Booker

Starting him along side T Jones.

Bench Westy, Mo Morris, D. Williams, C Taylor

Still considering Chester vs DET tho.

This would have more credence if they played the games on paper--but they don't.

Me too, at flex over middling receivers, so it's a no brainer. Coming into the season, I didn't think any backup Philly RB's would be rosterable, that Booker and maybe Hunt would get a lot of touches...but Buckhalter seems to be the main guy, and looks better than I expected back there. Nice surprise, IMO. Solid RB2 this week seems about right.

Just put him in for Michael Turner. I have been debating this all week, but I have watched the Bears play all year and they are not an easy team to run on when Mike Brown is healthy.

If anybody knows how to pull up the stats for the Bears defense when he is healthy and playing vs. when he isn't, I would love to see it.

To prove how much the matchup worries me, my other starting RB is MJD :(

It would have more credence if Philly were to play that exact same way every game...or if other teams had the defensive personnel that Washington has.The blueprint thing is foolish. Do you think it would give Cinci a blueprint to beat them? No...because Cinci cannot do the things that Washington could do...the blueprint is worthless.

I keep thinking it...but I know Turner will get 20+ carries.Im considering either over Turner or over LT right now.

I just looked it up myself. In the last three years (including the 5 games this year) when Mike Brown is healthy they average giving up 74.6 yards/game on the ground (12 games). When he is not playing, they average giving up 121.3 yards/game (25 games).Never has this been more evident than in 2006 when he played the first 6 games and they gave up 103, 46, 97, 77, 58, and 66. Then he was out for the year, and in the last ten games they gave up 127, 161, 150, 108, 85, 190, 101, 57, 67, and 97.It's a shame the guy can never stay healthy because he is a huge asset to that defense.

Buckhalter in over MJD vs. Denver. Fred Taylor is obviously in the mix, and last week, Denver held Dunn and Graham to low numbers.
