Is Benson a 1st rounder (1 Viewer)

I know it's early............

At this point I would project Benson going anywhere from the 6th to the 15th pick in a redraft.

Am I off????

no. I wouldn't draft him ahead of

LT

LJ

Portis

Alex

Rudi

TJ

Henry

SJax

Westy

Gore

Parker

R. Brown

and he'd be in the mix with M. Barber, C. Taylor, Addai, Maroney, McGahee, Jones Drew (and possibly others) depending on QB, O-line, trades, draftees, other changes from now until then. His value has improved since his main competition for the ball is out of town but there are still issues that he needs to overcome such as injuries, vision doesn't seem very good, don't know what kind of receiver he is (didn't have many catches), etc.. So while he's no longer a #30+ rb there's no way at this point he's a 1st rounder for me. Way too much risk to be your #1 back.

No. I think Benson has potential, but until I see him doing well in a starting role, I'd have a hard time considering him in the early second, let alone late first.

I would rather get Peterson, the back up, late for trade bait when Benson goes down.
Ah yes, the "drafting for late season injuries" strategy. Championships are built on this idea.
 Reminds me of last year after I drafted LT - one of the teams grabs Turner before I was ready to. He high fived another owner and looks over at me like he really had something over me. Then tried a couple of times to rip me off in trades. His plan didn't exactly go well for him........

guy probably got LJ the year before though

No #######' way.

He may be worth it in the end as anyone could potentially be. But his value is in the mid-late 2nd right now.

####### = f r i c k i n

I see him as a third round risk
I think he may have moved to the second when he got the starting job to himself. There aren't a lot of guys who have a chance to be a feature back, especially on a run oriented team with a good defense and a deep passing game to keep opposing defenses honest. There will be a tier of guys who are either unknown, trying to bounce back from a bad season, the lead in a possible RBBC, or otherwise sneaking into a starting job who all float into the tier in the late second and third rounds; I think Benson is near the top of those right now but not necessarily permanently.

No....someone should take him with an early 3rd rounder

Edit to say: Benson went 2.12 in a start up Dynasty League I am in(Vet Draft). I would think he has more value in Keeper/Dynasty than re-draft.

Who is to say by the time the draft is done that he still has the starting role to himself? I don't see it happening. The guy has not stayed healthy is split time.

Nobody. I'm ranking him the way I do all of my rankings at this point in the season, using the assumption that everything plays out roughly how I think it will. I think Chicago will go with him as their feature back and if they add depth, it will only be as a backup. If they add a quality player, I'll adjust my rankings accordingly.
