Brooks will never get on track this season now. I'm dumping him. I have the second waiver pick and Grossman's out there... not crazy about his sched going forward, but he'll be better than Brooks at any rate!
He looks like an easy drop. I also did a Grossman exchange. Like a lot of us, I made the mistake of looking at Brooks' career numbers, looking at Collins numbers with the Raiders, giving a bump up in stats because of the Hurricane fiasco and having Moss on the team, and figured Brooks would be a good fantasy QB. Just didn't realize the Raiders OL would be so terrible, and by the first game it was too late. Brooks is out 2-4 weeks. Unless there are absolutely no QBs on the WW, I bet Brooks will remain on the WW until he posts a good game. Assuming he keeps his job (not a safe assumption), he just has to get better doesn't he? But that won't be for several weeks, and you can add him after a good game if you change your mind. For now, he's a waste of a roster spot.
To me it comes down to this....who is the better ww pickup - Brooks or Walters. Both are available in all leagues I am in. I agree that neither are very good options, but starting qbs are starting qbs and if you are thin at the qb position, more than likely you roll the dice with one of these guys. If the Raiders come out of the bye and win 2 out of the 4 games Brooks will miss, I think he doesn't see the field again.....if they drop 3 or all 4, Brooks gets his job back IMO.

Yep. One league I dropped him to get Grossman. But in another I have no better WW move to make then to keep him. Warner and Leinart have to hold the fort down until their bye week. Either Brooks is back and worthy of a one week start or I make a trade around week 7/8. Hard to get a good WW QB in some leagues. Guys could become starters (Ramsey, Griese, Cutler) but you can't move Brooks now for one of them.

I'm trying to drop him for Grossman this week. If not Grossman then Brad Johnson.
