He is playing, although there've been some downs when Winslow is split wide where the Jets have used 3 corners and two safeties and Thomas has been out in many of those situations. Also, this is the same Thomas I've seen against the run from the two earlier games I saw this year. I was excited to see the new and improved version I've read/heard about in this week's game. This isn't it.

The Browns clearly stayed away from Ellis and Thomas. Hobson and Kimo VonO were getting buried. Hobson wasn't getting outside at all to turn the run back inside. The Browns obviously made running to that side a key part of their offensive game plan. Thomas was avoided as part of that game plan, and it worked.
He did not have a good game, even being replaced by Chatham for at least one full NE possession in the third quarter. That seemed to have woken him up, and after that he was much more active, although that didn't show up in his stats.
Ya wanna complain? I got one for ya. I started Vrabel (1 asst) over Hobson. :X
