Is Fred Taylor a free agent (1 Viewer)

Adrian Peterson

If Fred Taylor is a free agent, can he be a dependable starter again for a team, possibly the Colts if Edgerrin walks or maybe even Carolina?

He'll be the Colts new kicker now that Vanderjagt's career in Indianapolis is over :P

Taylor is signed through 2007, so unless he is cut he will not be a free agent. He's due $3.5 million each year, so he's not outrageously expensive but not cheap either.IIRC, free agent RB include Jamal Lewis, Shaun Alexander, Edgerrin James, and Ahman Green, and Ricky Williams is available for trade (amongst others).

Taylor will be a cap casuaulty next year, especially due to his injury history and Greg Jones will be the MAN year!

Agreed. Fraud showed zip when healthy in the second half (again). Jones will be the horse - Pearman and Toefield will change the pace.

Fred Taylor could be a nice backup to Ronnie Brown in Miami if they move Ricky Williams. Wherever he goes, I cannot imagine him as more than a backup.
