What a stupid question. He broke a rib. Is Donovan McNabb done than also? He will be back in a week or two and everything will be ok again. Jeewiz!!!

Jeez, his season isn't even over.

I see 2 more years as a starter after this. Possible Seattle dumps him after this year but I doubt they roll with Wallace next year. At worst he has this year and next.

Pennington on the other hand is done

He broke a rib.
Seems to happen a lot to old people.

Yes. He will play in the few games he is not injured over the next year or two, but for the most part, he is done.

34 yr-old QB's with bad backs and horrible O-lines don't mix. He may want to get out before he needs a wheelchair.

I think this could be his last year. I think he was contemplating retirement already because of the back and more injuries might see him walk away ala Steve McNair. He is about the right age to go. Also another miserable season by Seahawks might see them move on without him

Sure looks like it. He is either still hurt, or he is flat-out DONE.

He looked absolutely brutal today. The first of four interceptions he threw today (to A.J. Hawk) was one of the worst throws you will ever see. A 9th-grader starting his first game of freshman football would not make a decision that bad.

It's the very first highlight at the 0:10 mark.

:moneybag: He was having a decent season prior to today's game. No reason to think that he wouldn't return to form with a solid O-line.

:moneybag: Simply brutal for an NFL level player.

Big time homer here FWIW.

I don't think he is done but I do not think things are going to improve soon enough for him to be fantasy relevant in Seattle again, and I don't see him going anywhere else. I think a lot of his struggles are based on timing with his receivers (correctable in the WCO, takes 2~3 years), his new coach (slightly different play calling), and a deteriorating O-line (this group is just not going to turn it around health or performance wise). He still has the arm but he is trying to make too many busted plays, ala Roethlisberger, which is a recipe for disaster in this offense. If the play isn't there you check down or throw it away. His decision making is a product of understanding the necessity of each play in a struggling/bad offense. Rhythm and timing are what this offense is all about, when it isn't working it is downright ugly to watch.

How do you think he'll do next week against the Titans?

:goodposting: He was having a decent season prior to today's game.
4 INTs two straight weeks.
Cutler, Sanchez and Stafford have had multiple 4-INT games this season as well. Guess they're done too.
The jury is out whether Sanchez and Stafford are good enough to play in the league. Cutler has had 2 good seasons with Denver but regressed big time this year. He's not done, but don't think for a minute the Bear organization isn't concerned. They are.

Watching the replay yesterday, it was apparent that the ball slipped out of his hand. Still a poor play, but not necessarily a poor decision as his intended target was about 10 yards further downfield. His interception in the end zone was also more bad luck than a bad play as it was tipped at the line and the receiver slipped. The other two were on Hasslebeck, although it looked as though the receiver had some blame on one of them by making a soft cut and allowing the DB to get to the ball first.

Not sure those guys are a good comparison considering the age difference between them and Hass.
Plus, none of those guys did it 2 weeks in a row. In fact, the last 2 times that a QB threw for 8 INTs over 2 games (prior to this season), both quarterbacks lost their starting jobs the next year (Culpepper in 2005 and Frerotte in 2007).

If Seattle lets him go I could see Holmgren bringing him to Cleveland as a veteran QB to work with Quinn or whoever else is left at QB for next year.

Hasselbeck has had some struggles, certainly, and his arm isn't what it used to be--he still has the make-something-happen mentality, but can't quite zip it like he once could. The last two weeks have smacked of desperation and frustration. However, it isn't his fault that his receivers can't get separation, lack timing, and can't make plays. I think numerous other QB's would also lack success if they were in his position.

Honestly I think and hope Seattle drafts a QB this year and lets him sit behind Hass for one more year, before giving it up to the rookie.

They need to sign a big time olinemen and draft another with one of their first rounders this offseason.

Seattle's a mess. I don't think Matt's anywhere close to the top of their problems. Stop overpaying possession receivers and get a line.

What are his prospects THIS week? Will he rebound? Is there incentive? Certainly, the Titans have folded their tent...
