Is Hixon worth anything now? (1 Viewer)

Hakeem Nicks looked good too. Nicks may move past Hixon so that would push Hixon down to the fourth guy. I wouldn't bother unless there are some injuries.

He's been dropped in both my 24-man and 26-man roster dynasty leagues. He's been on waivers for weeks in my redraft. Right now the guy has no value.
I dropped him in both of my main leagues.....I have a feeling he will have one of those huge games soon where he makes a couple of big plays, and he will be a hot pick up agian, but too inconsistent to start unless there are some injuries.....there are a bunch of options in NY right now, and he seems to be sliding down the ranks.....I think many people thought he had the build or skill set to be the next Colston or Jennings or something, but I just don't see it happening...he has that big athletic build that we sometimes think can be the base for a stud WR, but he hasn't put it all together yet....kinda of like an Austin Miles in Dallas

I dumped him this week in a dynasty for Burton. I just don't see him producing enough to be a starter. Even if he were even with the other 3 WRs on the Giants, there wouldn't be enough targets to go around. Unfortunately, I think he's headed for the #4 spot and returner when he comes back.
FWIW, I just read on Rotoworld that Nicks has returned to practice. Haven't heard about a timetable or any practice for Hixon. I think he would have had a shot at a starting role, but may have lost that chance by now. I drafted him, and I dropped him recently for someone healthy.

Same here, 10 team Dynasty.... I cut Matt Jones last week hoping for a positive signing.... but next in line is Hixon. Injuries to my starters (Gore, Poz & Tatupu) have me needing roster space to make up for Bye weeks. I rejected several trade offers during the preseason. I think he will get more looks, but not WR3 value.

I had a trade offer for him during the offseason, late 2nd round rookie pick and I return an early 5th + Hixon.
I rejected the trade. Two weeks later when I read about Eli gushing about Mario and I reomved my head from the sand I tried to make the trade again. I got rejected because this was after the Chris Henry buzzsaw had began.
Oops.
Later in the offseason I read Hixon was going to be involved more on returns, to which I interpreted as Mario's the starting WR, Hixon is 4th in the pecking order behind Mario, Smith, and Nicks.
I dropped Hixon post week 1.
Another owner picked him up for week 2, but dropped him last week. He's sitting in the FA pool right now.
This was basically my long winded way of saying I think you can dump him.

It's a bummer. It was pretty obvious all off-season his window was closing with the Giants. Then the injury slammed the door shut, where one or two decent outings would have given a chance to sell high. I dropped him in everything but my 12*28 league. Other teams were interested in him during the offseason, so he should end up as a #3 with upside on a needy team next year. He is a good special teams player so some team will want him. Maybe Spags with the Rams. But I would abandon all hope of him succeeding with the Giants unless there's an injury to Manningham and Nicks.

all right...I finally did it and cut bait w/ Hixon in favor of Bryant Johnson. I figure BJohnson is opposite Calvin, plays indoors most of the time, has an emerging QB throwing to him, will be playing from behind a lot and has minimal competition for the WR2 spot. Tons more upside than Hixon.

14 or 16 team league, Hixon could be a good late comer back up.

here's something that concerns me WRT Hixon late in the season - his December schedule:12/06 DAL 12/13 PHI 12/21 @WAS 12/27 CARI'm not sure I want to rely on the 2nd or 3rd passing option on a run first team playing in the Meadowlands come playoff time. The last time NYG had a 300 yard passing game in December @ home was 2001.Hixon might have a good day here and there that can help get to the playoffs, but I'm thinking it would be statistically impossible for him to have any value at all once you are there.
