Is it Tashard Choice Time? (1 Viewer)

Well, not sure if it's "safer", but I'm currently planning on going with Jennings with MJD out of the picture (hopefully). I'll be passing on starting Choice and Jones in favor of Jennings and I went and picked up B. Jackson just in case MJD decides to play.Either way, I think Choice isn't a bad option, but your right. You'd have to be in a pretty tight spot to start him unless for some reason Jones is not playing.
Jones practiced fully Friday so I expect him to start. I really think we are going to see a rotation once they get to the goal line between barber/choice. Jones outside the 20's and Choice/Barber inside the 20's. Which one gets the TD's?
Choice doesn't exclusively get goal line carries. I wouldn't expect that to change with Barber in the line-up.
Choice gets a frustratingly disproportionate amount of GL carries considering how ineffective he has been in that role. I haven't looked into the breakdown but I have seen Felix get maybe 2-3 attempts inside the five since Barber went down. Garrett seems to like pulling Felix at the stripe.

I'm all in on Choice as my flex whether Barber plays or not. Felix Jones is injured and he has a history of poor games when he misses practice time. Barber has no gas left in the tank BEFORE his injury. And I expect him to be ineffective coming back.

A bruise is injured? Come on man....

felix only got one carry inside the five before Barber got hurt . . .

Barber was woefully ineffective in the short yardage role too.I don't understand why Garrett won't at least give the guy a shot. I would understand it if Barber & Choice were converting a high percentage of their opportunities but they aren't.Garrett knows his players better than I do so Felix must be absolutely horrific in short yardage to not even get an opportunity with those other two jokers being the only other competition.

That's true but it wasn't the gist of my post. Choice does get the ball in other areas of the field; he is not exclusively a goal line back. It seems as though the team as a whole isn't very effective near the goal lin running situations.

Well Felix is gonna get his touches no matter who's playing. I'm seriouly thinking about playing him because of the PPR factor and ARI's pathetic D.

I just put Felix in over Choice, that pretty much means choice is a lock for 100 yds and a td.. :lmao:
I was reading that since Garrett took over Felix has had double digit carries every game.
His carries arent the issue. Its how Dallas neglects him once they get inside the opp 10 yard line that pisses me off....

It's either Donald Brown of Tashard Choice this week for me at the Flex position. Think I'm gonna stick with Choice. Maybe it will be a Christmas miracle!

Why couldn't Barber sit out 1 more game ? I was going to go with both Jones and Choice...now have to debate Choice vs some really bad other options.

Roto saying barber inactive..must be a mistake?

Cowboys have declared RB Marion Barber III, WR Roy Williams, DL Clifton Geathers, OT Jermey Parnell, LB Leon Williams, OL Phil Costa, OL Sam Young, QB Tony Romo inactive for Week 16.

There had been some debate as to whether Barber (calf) and Williams (groin) would be active, but they will sit out Week 16. Upgrade Felix Jones' matchup as a RB3/flex with Cardinals LB Joey Porter listed as inactive. Tashard Choice could net double-digit carries spelling Jones on occasional series, making him a serviceable flex option.

Any chance Barber gets some goalline looks? With MJD gimpy I have either Beanie or Barber in a TD league. Leaning to Barber now.
 :pickle: :headbang:  Glad he was active...between that and the Austin TD, I have a nice start going into tomorrow (Mendenhall already scored too).

Barber looked very effective in the role he played yesterday. It should be the blueprint for them moving forward. Barber is good when he sees just a few carries, and can run with intensity. He should never have been the "starter" even in a ceremonial way.It will be interesting to see what they do next season. It's unlikely Barber returns.

If all 3 are back next year i wouldnt touch any of them. Felix at his ADP is actually the worse pick out of the 3.
