Is it time for a WW Def/ST thread? (1 Viewer)

Who do you guys see out there as potential waiver wire DEF/STs that either have good matchups coming up or are looking to have maybe turned the corner for the season?

I'm interested in WAS with their matchup against StL and somewhat easy schedule in the next few weeks. They usually are a better defense in real life than in fantasy but with Haynesworth and their schedule, maybe they can do some more damage. Atl and their matchup against CAR is also another interesting one, as well as OAK and KC.

GB and NYJ would be teams that might be on the WW that you could hang your hat on but they aren't on the wire in my leagues.

I have SD's def in both my leagues and not sure if it's worth sticking with it, since they looked shaky and have an early bye week.

Yeah, mostly agreed, I'm more interested in hearing about what the people who are trying to work the wire and play a frankenstein defense via matchups are doing this season.

In my big money league, Philly (best D this week) scored 30 against Carolina and ATL (T 2nd) scored 14 against Miami. I'm going to take my chances with ATL at home and drop NO.

I am grabbing Wash - it has St Louis, @ Det, and Tampa for its next three games.

Washington at home against St. Louis is a strong play. The Rams looked putrid this past weekend, and the Skins likely want to exact revenge for a disappointing home loss against the Rams last season.

I planned to go with the Dallas/Wash tag team the first half of the season and I'm sticking with it, for now anyway. ATL is tempting me on the WW.
