So Moss jersey, drinking Sam Adams and eating Chowdah dont insinuate bandwagon fans? OK.Its against the rules. I said at the time that I thought Belichick should have been suspended 4 games. What else did you want the league or Patriots fans to do? I, like many non-Pats fan analysts and former players and coaches, feel it was a minor infraction but yes it is against the rules.I never said anything about bandwagon fans, actually. And re: crab cakes, replace with "chowder" so we can move on.I don't care that Pats fans are glad their team is winning. That's the fun part of sports, celebrating victories and accomplishments and quality play. That's all fair game. Congrats on the great season. The things that have driven me crazy about Patriots fans this year are things like justifying Cameragate. "Everyone does it..." "It didn't affect the outcome..." Blah blah blah. IT'S AGAINST THE RULES. I'd fall over backwards if I heard an NE fan say, "I can't believe they did that. I never thought they'd be cheaters. I'm disappointed and hope that kind of thing doesn't represent the team I cheer for." It bothers me that the Patriots fans are taking it as a foregone conclusion that the team is going undefeated. In a best case scenario, they'll probably have to beat Jacksonville or San Diego, Indy, and Dallas, Green Bay, or Minnesota. (As an aside, I think that of everyone in the playoff picture, Minnesota presents some serious trouble for NE. What would AP do to that weak run D?). It bothers me that NE fans so easily forgot that less then 12 months ago, your team and your genius coach got outplayed and outcoached in Indy.Yes. 100%. All Pats fans are bandwagon fans. He cant even get all of the stereotypes right. Crab cakes are Baltimore pal.
Why would true Patriots fans shut up about IT? Our team is undefeated. Its a pretty good feeling. I dont live in Boston anymore but when I get to work every Monday (or Tuesday) morning, everyone in my office wants to talk to me about the Patritos and what does it feel like to root for a team that you know is going to win. These are Philly fans. They have had some of the most excrutiating losses a fan can go through in the past few years. They are not trashing the Patriots. They are envious. In a good way.
On and on, it never ends. I have no problem with the Patriots. I'll say again: they are amazing to watch and play great football. It's the fans, pal. Deal.
When your team gets this far and has been this dominant, you start to see the end game and feel that it can happen. The Pats fans I talk to dont think it is a foregone conclusion but are pretty confident that they will run the regular season. I fall into that category. I think the Pats have always matched up well with the Steelers and had their number to a degree. I am very confident of a win this Sunday. I dont think the Jets or Dolphins pose much of a threat and the Giants seem to be more inclined to rest starters the last game than the Patriots would.
The Playoffs will not be a walkover. Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and SD all pose threats.

I don't go around trying to stir people up as we have enough of that in society already. But I also think if you're not getting at least some "you suck" mail, you're probably taking the safe road too much.J
GBGD!What makes this world so great is that people have different opinions and that makes life fun and interesting. Wow, what a great time to be alive!
And I thought my day would be filled with Anthony Smith and Barry Bonds stories
