Playing him this week is bold. Having him on your roster seems wise.I see he is expected to play a lot this week.
It seems pretty crazy to start him over these two.Im starting him this week over Austin Hooper, Josh Doctson, Dion Lewis, CJ Prosise.
He's played a total of 5 snaps in the NFL. At least you know Lewis is going to touch the ball 12-15 times in a plus match-up and that Doctson will start and likely see 80-90% of the snaps in a plus match-up/high scoring affair. If there was a week to consider starting a Boom // Bust guy like Ross over what are currently flex players, its this week vs the Colts, imo.

I may have used the word wise incorrectly. Having him on your roster may make sense....if you have lots of room on your bench to see how this plays out.Playing him this week is bold. Having him on your roster seems wise.
6 snaps. On the bright side, that exceeds his career total going into the game by one.Rolled him out in a 16 teamer out of desperation. 1 target. Did he get hurt again?
I wasn't expecting much but geez, at least an end around so he could touch the ball.....................
Sweet. Something to build on. Maybe 10 snaps next week.6 snaps. On the bright side, that exceeds his career total going into the game by one.
Or Ross has a lot of improving to do.Sweet. Something to build on. Maybe 10 snaps next week.
Guess Brandon LaFell is better than I give him credit for if he can keep the #9 overall pick on the bench.
LOL. This is a long term league (16th year) and the guy I was playing has been in from the start. This is probably the exact thing he thought when he saw I started Ross.Sneaky for sure. Your opponent will probably say something like, "You started John Ross?! I certainly didn't see that coming."
I'm sure he does, but to get 6 snaps for a team struggling on offense seems detrimental to him improving. I would say the coach knows what he is doing, but not sure I can with confidence in Marvin's case. You drafted him that high for a reason. If he's healthy, give him a couple easy ways to touch the ball to see if he can break a long one. Bubble screen, jet sweep maybe. Not saying he should play 60 snaps, but 6 just seems stupid.Or Ross has a lot of improving to do.
Meanwhile, fellow rookie Josh Malone(19) caught his first NFL reception and touchdown against the Colts. Alex Erickson (13) even played more than Ross. Ross got one target from Andy Dalton.
You're probably right. Unless he's not been doing what he should in practice or the coach has other reasons to test Malone more than Ross.I'm sure he does, but to get 6 snaps for a team struggling on offense seems detrimental to him improving.
