Is K. Moreno Starting Week 1? (1 Viewer)

Take it for what it's worth, but he's listed as 4th on the depth chart this week.

I'm sure he will play but there are so many Qs surrounding this offense (who is startsing at QB, is MArshall going to play, RB situation, new HC and offensive philosophy, etc...), I'm not sure what to expect.

My guess: Buckhalter will get the majority of the carries and pts for the first few weeks -- until they run him ragged and he gets hurt.

i think this is a legit question though, and would like to see updates here if anyone hears anything.

This is of interest to me as well. Drafted Knowshon a little early - but after going qb/wr/wr/wr in my league, I felt I needed someone with upside. Probably going to have to take a wait and see approach as I am not confident enough to unleash him just yet.

If he is healthy, I just can't see a Correll Buckhalter keeping him off the field.

like I said in the other "Is Moreno Starting?" thread, anyone giving you a concrete answer is guessing. He's listed @ 4th on the depth charts - that's all we know right now.

(Rotoworld) While admitting that he's not yet up to full speed, Knowshon Moreno (knee) pronounced himself ready to face the Bengals on Sunday.

Analysis: "I wouldn't say 100 percent but I feel real good," Moreno said. "Each day I'm getting better." Moreno said he could have played in the preseason finale and will be ready to carry a heavy workload in the opener if asked. We expect him to be brought along slowly in Week 1, splitting carries with Correll Buckhalter and Peyton Hillis.

The Colorado Springs Gazette is reporting that Broncos' running back Knowshon Moreno is ready to play in the team's Week 1 game. Moreno said he is still not 100 percent, but he is ready to play as much as the coaches will let him. Our View: Moreno will have to fight for carries with three other backs this season, and after missing so much time this summer, it seems likely that his load will be small this weekend. He still figures to be the featured back when completely healthy, but he might not be the best fantasy play this weekend if you have another back worth starting.

How did you get the thread officially certified?
It's not - you can always tell a fake. Different number of asterisks on either side of the word OFFICIAL - it's kinda like looking ate then president's hair line on a bill.
:coffee: you can also tell because truly official threads have ***official*** in the main title, not sub-title.

That worried looking smilie face threw me off - I was expecting bad news.

Though Knowshon Moreno (knee) ditched his orange non-contact jersey for Wednesday's practice, coach Josh McDaniels stopped short of declaring him ready for Sunday's opener.

McDaniels said Moreno is "doing a nice job progressing" but indicated that he'll wait a couple of days before making a final decision. Check back Friday afternoon for an update, though we'd off a week in starting Moreno if you have other options.

I have a hard time thinking Denver is going to rush Moreno in there after the offseason that Denver has had and all the RBs who have torn up their knees in Denver.

Until he's had at least a couple weeks of full practice, I'm not expecting much.
