Is Kevin Jones worth a late selection? (1 Viewer)

if/when Jones comes back, it appears he'll be in a RBBC situation w/ Bell (assuming Bell isn't dinged by midseason). Just wondering what Jones worth is considering he'll miss a portion of the season and will probably be sharing playing time when he gets back.

i'm expecting the first response to be "use the search function" ... here's the thing: I'm not looking for 2 month old opinions, but thanks for playing

i did? i said he'll probably be in RBBC when he comes back .... does that mean he is or isn't worth a late round selection? my opinion is "no", but i'd like to hear what others think oh hey ... thanks for not saying "use the search function" ... much appreciated!

Use the search function. Sorry I'm late.Honestly, what has really changed in the last 2 months (more or less) - I have heard conflicting reports about him all summer with little if anything to hangn your hat on. I'd say whatever comments were made then are still relevant.I also don't get how it's "RBBC" when he gets back....when he's back it's take a seat Bell. IMO

only if you want him to occupy a space on your roster until week 9i was just a a detroit economic luncheon which featured the lions players and coaches with one player or coach at every table. anyways, we didn't have a player, but we had their linebacker coach (phil snow) that has been with the team for 3 years. anyways we i know he isn't the offensive coach, but he is still there daily. i was asking if jones was gonna start the season and all he would say is "man, that is a tough injury. it took lehman 1 1/2 years to come back from that." then he said "he can be on the pup until week 9 but at that point if he still wasn't ready to go, he would be put on IR and miss the rest of the season. I am posting a comment he made about roy and calvin johnson

Lehman had the same injury, but they did not diagnose it correctly for 3 weeks. That is disastrous. Surgery has to be done right away to give a better chance for a full recovery. If the Lions put him on the PUP list, it is for a minimum of 6 weeks. Then they have 3 weeks after that to determine if he plays or goes on IR. That is where the 9 week comment comes from. It doesn't mean he won't play until week 9. The 9th week is when they would have to activate him, or put him on IR.

Why do you assume he'll be RBBC? He could be the outright backup or he could be the starter. LOTS of things could happen.

if its a ppr and you have the room i'd stash KJ. the only thing tatum has that KJ doesnt is world class speed. jones is just a better all around back, and a better fit for martz' offense. that said, if Kj comes back between week 6 and 9, he'll catch balls for you. even if he splits carries with bell when he comes back, he's catching the ball.
