Guys.. In my league, 14 teams. We get 1.5 pts tackle / 1 pt asst. / 4 pts sack / 2 pts for 1/2 sack / 4 pts for int. / 4 pts fumble recovery / 2 pts pass defended / 6 pts defensive TD.. Have to start 1 D lineman / 1 Linebacker / 1 Def back / and 4 D flex slots.. and 3 D reserve spots.our draft was in auction format & I was lite on $$, so here's what I got.. In starting line up - Larry Little , Zach Thomas , Darren Sharper.Dat Nguyen, Eric Barton, Ty Law, K. Udeze..on resv..A.Rolle, E.James, & S.MerrimanI'm not sure how Ty Law is doing, should I put Rolle in ? How does D look ? I think I'm kinda weak.. Thoughts ?Thks, Pete

I'll assume that's Leonard Little. You're not totally in trouble, but this isn't a strength. Thomas is the only one I'd put much faith in, and he's somewhat questionable in a new scheme. If your offense is strong, you should be ok.

Law is a concern, but with him playing against the Chiefs in week 1, he may be a target (to show that the Chiefs GM was right to not sign him). So start him for a week IMO.

I would start A.Rolle a lot this year. Starting Rookie CB = Gold

See if there are any starting quality LB or DL out there lurking - if you catch a guy who just wins a job late, you might be able to get somewhere.Pay close attentnion to week 1 results for guys with surprising tackle numbers, and investigate them thoroughly. I'm guessing this is dynasty since you've got Merriman & James.

Yes.. You can keep 3 def players..Pool isnt great because each team drafts 10 def players.

What do you think of Merriman & James ? Will they do much this yr at all ?

I'm in a 12 teamer where we start 11 players and most teams roster 15-20, so I think you've got to have a slightly deeper pool than I'm used to. That said, I've still managed to find useful players off waivers at this time of year - any guy who wins a job end of pre-season/week 1 at MLB/WLB, you want to pounce on.I'm not a fan of Merriman this year, I've had spotty success drafting rookie IDP's who aren't DB's though, so others may see this differently.
