Polamalu looked really slow in the Chargers game and missed a bunch of tackles. This was masked because the Steelers easily won, but does anyone know if there is something wrong with him?
I was at the game and they announced the Steelers defense yesterday but did not announce Polamalu. I thought that very weird because they usually announce Troy last to whip up the crowd. I was about to call my wife who was watching the game at home to hear if she heard of a Polamalu injury but then I saw him on the sideline, in uniform warming up before the game.
There might be something up with him but he played and there's been no reports of any injuries that I have heard.
He's fine. The Steeler secondary didn't play all that great yesterday, but some of that you can chalk up to Rivers, who really is a fine quarterback. I think they'll be much better next week.

were you sitting in front of me at the game? my sister and I both were anxious after the non-announcement and the guy in front of me checked the sideline with his binoculars and assured us that he was dressed and on the sidelines.

Tomlin said the Steelers didn't suffer any significant injuries yesterday. As for how Roethlisberger played two weeks after sustaining a concussion, Tomlin said: "Like I said leading up to the game, it was a non-issue for us."
Today the news has been it is a calf strain of unspecified severity - coach Tomlin said he expects Polamalu to take off some time during practices this week but play as usual...we'll see. Calf injuries are notorious for suddenly tightening up and taking a player out of action...
