Is Ronnie Brown a Buy? (1 Viewer)

Many are predicting Ronnie Brown to be a top producing RB from this point forward based on his remaining schedule. After what I think will be a tough matchup this weekend with NE he's got:

STL (#29 vs run)

BUF (#18)

SF (#16)

KC (#31)

NYJ (week 17)

On paper this all looks promising. However Ricky is still getting 40% of the carries (he actually started last weekend) and I read somewhere that Sparano likes the shiftiness that

Cobbs brings to the table as well and might get him more involved (Cobbs had a 14 yard TD run last weekend). I love Ronnie's talent but it seems he'll be too unpredictable to lean on for the stretch run. The one positive is that none of the teams left on the schedule put alot of points on the board, so MIA may be running quite a bit. What does the pool think of Ronnie's prospects going forward? Top 5? Top 10? Top 15? He's currently the #11 RB in my league, but without that huge game vs NE earlier in the year he's producing very average numbers.

Fins homer, Ronnie owner.I think he is a decent RB2 for the rest of the season. I saw him as a RB1 up until recently. That offense features a new star every week. Ronnie will have a big week or 2 going forward, a few mediocre weeks (80 and a TD or 100 and no TD), and a few weeks where he gets 50-90 yards and does not score. I dont think he can be counted on for consistency in that offense right now. The offense is fine, but it just does not feature anyone. He is AWESOME for the offense, but that will not always translate to fantasy relevance.

I'm curious how this carries forward to next season. Will Ricky still be there?

Even if Ricky was not going to be there, I have a feeling that someone like Patrick Cobbs would take on his role. Seems like Sporano recognizes that Ronnie is the catalyst of the offense, but he uses that fact to involve others into the gameplan and keep the defenses on their toes. Barring injury to other backs, I think Ronnie is looking more and more like a solid RB2 for the near future than a RB1.
