Is the Carolina running attack dead to the fantasy world? (1 Viewer)

Got Jonathan Stewart in the middle rounds, figuring that the way he and Williams tore it up last year, would be the Panthers' best bet on offense again this year and would be a great matchup option/bye week filler for Foster.

UGH!!! Have considered dumping him for Torain. While I still have LT and SJax, would like to have another option.

SO the question is; have Williams and Stewart both gone, for fantasy purposes, from legit to pretenders in just one year or is it more about the absence of Jake Delhomme?

Stewart and Williams both scored TDs last Sunday. :lmao:

Williams might not be performing up to his draft position, but he's still a quality RB2 or flex player, especially through bye weeks. You'd have to be pretty solid at RB to consider dumping him at this point

If your dead set on dumping him, hope that a desperate owner saw his long td catch on sunday and wants to offer something of value. Otherwise don't dump him straight up, that's a little knee-jerk at this point.

Its been a disappointment thus far, but these guys won't be kept in check all year, they are simply too talented. Carolina is having a rough patch and some growing pains, but even through that, both Williams and Stewart had decent games this week.

They may not live up to their preseason billings, but Stewart and especially DeAngelo will still be plenty useful to fantasy teams.

I agree. Stewart has scored in back-to-back games and should've scored in Week 2. I think Williams has done well. He just hasn't gotten enough touches. That said, I'd avoid them both in Week 5 against Chicago. It's hard to see them doing much against the Bears considering Steve Smith won't play. No reason for the Bears to be the slightest bit concerned about the Panthers' passing game without Smith. They can sell out completely to stop the run.
