Is this considered bad FF form ? (1 Viewer)

I recently proposed a 3 way trade - Myself and another ( Team A ) agreed to it while the final person ( Team B ) declined.

trade was - I sent Rhodes to Team B / Team B sent L. White to Team A / Team A sent Givens and Moore to me ---------------- pretty much a handcuff trade.

Then about 5 days after after Team A tried to talk the other owner into it failed Team A came to me and said he wanted to just consolidate - and have me just send him Rhodes for Givens and Moore. While I was ready to this on Sunday through Tuesday - This week I have heard radio reports on the Vikings RB situation that IMO wern't favorable to Moore and I am starting to sour on Givens as it appears Titans might be trading Brown to Denver for Lelie - or thats the rumor .

I in turn tell Team A I am no longer interested.

I just want to know if by doing this I am breaking any un written laws ?

is this even considered backing out of a trade that was orignally a 3 way deal that was nixed by the 3rd owner ?

I think you come off looking a little foolish (no offense) because you're still giving up the same player and getting the same players that you were going to get all along. But technically, that isn't the original trade you had been discussing, so you can still back out... I would be a little bit hesitant to deal with you in the future if I was the other owner, though.

First off, you are absolutely positively NOT backing out of a trade. I doubt this is the case here, but there are any number of reasons why you might prefer to have Rhodes on Team B's roster instead of Team A's. Regardless of who you're giving up and getting, a trade that sends Rhodes to Team A is NOT the same as one that sends Rhodes to Team B.If I were the other owner, I would ask for an explanation, although I wouldn't feel that I was necessarily owed one. I don't think you did anything wrong, but if I were in your shoes, I'd be somewhat apologetic to the other owner anyway.

Thanks for the advise I am going to go ahead and go through with it - I did make the offer and it was my idea and who knows maybe I need to make a deal down the road with this guy.

thanks

Which is it? In your first post you said team A came to you for the Rhodes for Givens /Moore deal. In this post you say you made the offer. The original trade offer and the second one are just that, 2 separate offers. You have the right to reject team A's trade offer if he indeed made the offer and not you. You don't have to offer an explanation but you can if you want. Nobody should be hesitant in working deals with you just because you reject one offer. Now if you have a history of this type of thing then that could be a different story. Don't make a trade that you are not comfortable with just because you might want to deal with this guy in the future. All that being said, If you are in need of WR help and can afford the possible downgrade at RB then I say the deal looks pretty good for you. It may not even be a downgrade at RB. Chester could tank it or Addai could take over for Rhodes. You never know.
