So I'm posting on our league message board and e-mailing owners with trade discussions. An owner makes an offer about 12 days ago - Marcus Giles for Carlos Quentin. My initial reaction is no, but since it is only a Wednesday and trades are only processed on Mondays, I told him I'd think about it.
Well, after giving it much thought, and having Dave Roberts get hurt, I thought I could pick up some steals with Giles, so last Monday about 3 hours before the deadline for the week I shoot him an e-mail, saying, 'OK, I guess I'll do it.'
Well, he doesn't get back to me until Saturday and the trade doesn't go through last week. My reaction throughout the week was, 'Oh well, I guess we didn't make a deal' and the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to keep Quentin (keeper league).
So then his e-mail comes in Saturday, and he says he'll do the deal and he'll e-mail the commish. He e-mails him Monday, but I got tied up today and didn't have a chance to respond to him until after the deadline tonight and I told him I'd rather not do it.
So, is this bush? Or am I within my 'rights' to do this?
