Is Tomlinson good enough... (1 Viewer)

I have managed to get myself involved in 5 FF Leagues. I have Pick 1.01, pick 1.03 , and in a 3rd (keeper) I am already keeping Tomlinson with my 1.02 pick. A 4th League doesn't decide draft order until just before it starts, so I could have a pick anywhere from 1.01 - 1.10. The 5th League, I got LJ with 1.04.

I'm wondering if there is any reason why, given the chance, I SHOULDN'T try to have Tomlinson on 4 of my teams. If he were to get hurt, I'd be in some serious trouble. Is is just a matter of nabbing Turner in each league to protect myself?

If I had 5 leagues and had the chance to get LT2 on all 5 of them I would be happy with it. Obviously if he gets hurt you are in trouble, but there is no historical reason to believe that will happen.

And clearly, if you have LT2, drafting Turner is a good idea if you have the bench spot available.

Why not have the best player in FF if you have the chance?

I had him 3 for 3 in leagues last year.

I lucked out.

This year I'll have him in 1 of 3 possibly 2 who knows though.

I'd say yes.... Put those eggs in one basket and ride it out with LT's class.

you try to land LT in all 500.

I would look at each league individually. If you were only in one league would you draft LT at 1.01? I would, so why would I change that strategy in another league? Is he now less valuable since I have him in multiple leagues? Will his production drop since I have him in multiple leagues?

He is LT and the top FF player you can get regardless of how many leagues you are in IMHO.

I was intending it to mean more along the lines of if there was a chance someone else could potentially have as big an impact as Tomlinson maybe not chosing him could be an alternative. Maybe a better question to ask would be, deciding between LJ/SJAX/SAlex with, say the #2 pick in several drafts.Obvisiously, each will have their own merits given scoring rules (PPR, 100yd bonus, TD length bonus). Mileage will also vary with just Tomlinson in different leagues with different scoring.

As for the "shark" comment...last I checked there was no "newb" or "guppy" forum so why shouldn't a question about this be allowed.
