No-PPR, he's currently ranked 3rd behind Cruz and D. Thomas.

Will he keep up a solid pace of touchdowns? If not, will he start accumulating more yards to counteract the drop in touchdown rate?

Stats through four games: 36 targets, 26 receptions, 266 yards, 6 touchdowns.

I personally do not think he will regress on TDs. 5 of his 6 TDs have come from 6 yards in, and the other was 12 yards out.

Personally, I think his touchdown rate HAS to drop somewhat. Right now, he's on pace for 24 touchdowns in the fantasy season. Last year, he had the same amount of touchdowns on 138 more targets. Different team, but doesn't it have to regress a considerable amount? Welker is tied for the league lead in TDs. If the touchdown rate drops, his yardage would have to go up quite a lot in order to stay a top 5 receiver.

Alright, 24 is a bit high. if he finshes with 18, so one per game for the rest of the season, what does his season look like then? Been projecting him Top 10, totally think that is reasonable.

He seems like a shoe in for about 70-80 catches, 900-1100 yds, and about 15 TD with 6 already int he books. His best ever was 7 or 8 I think, never been a big TD guy but its too easy for him in this offense.

Add 15+ TD to his career for the next 3 years, he is gold right now and even in dynasty if you got him you just a got an extension of big numbers for the next couple years at least. He is having a career year in terms of FF, he can stay in the top 5 or 10 for the season absolutely.

Is there a more underrated WR in fantasy or the NFL? This thread was on the 3rd page of my search for "Welker" and there doesn't appear to be another thread dedicated to this guy.

A perennial member of the 100 catch club, first down slot machine, and a ridiculous combination of soft hands, quick feet, and incredible tenacity, he just doesn't seem to get the credit he's due. Heck, NE thought he was replaceable this year.

The fantasy community thought there was a strong risk of Welker being the 3rd or 4th option on Den. When I've owned him in the past, I could never get anything approaching fair trade value in return, as he's just not the kind of WR that attracts attention. He's not regularly putting up 10+ TDs, not running the go routes and catching the deep bombs.

But, he's just incredibly talented and deserves more attention imo.

So, :bump: for some props to this guy
