Isaiah Crowell (2 Viewers)

every year as in, both years?

including his rookie season w 700yds/8tds?

or last season w 900/5?

Avoid at your own peril
Browns run game coordinator Kirby Wilson called sophomore RB Duke Johnson "an ultimate weapon."
"I thought Duke has a lot of those qualities that a lot of great running backs have, in terms of being a receiver," Wilson said. "He's very comfortable in space, he's got natural ability to catch the football, and he knows how to run routes." Johnson put those receiving skills to good use as a rookie, catching 61 balls for 534 yards and two touchdowns including an exceptional over-the-shoulder score against the Chargers. He has the tools to be more than just a third-down back, however, and he could get his shot at a three-down role if Isaiah Crowell falters. Johnson is a high-upside target in the middle rounds.

Browns coach Hue Jackson wants to see more consistency from Isaiah Crowell.
"I think he has the characteristics of a back that can be a big-time runner," Jackson said, "but he needs to do it very consistently and kind of in the way that we want it done." The coach added he thinks Crowell is "up to the challenge," but it is not a given the third-year back suddenly puts it all together. Crowell should get the first crack at the lead-back role, but sophomore Duke Johnson is nipping at his heels.

The question: Who is the Brown RB to own?

THE ANSWER

He mustered 900 yards last year with a half decent line.now they have the absolute worst line in the NFL along with an underwhelming QB in Bob Griffin the 3rd , missing parts and pieces all over the place.this might be an 0-16 team.absolutely a legit shot at 0-16.

Crow isnt even a good lottery pick..its not him he has talent.he can play but the Browns are set to be historically bad this season.theyre playing for first pick overall in 2017 draft.

“RG3 can’t play,” says NFL analyst Greg Cosell

Excerpt:

Either way, Cosell continued to talk about the Browns’ offense. The longtime NFL analyst complimented starting running back Isaiah Crowell.

“I think Isaiah Crowell is a straight-line, faster Chris Ivory-type runner. Crowell has really good straight-line speed. Ivory might be shiftier, because he has decisive shiftiness and elusiveness, whereas I think Crowell has more straight-line speed.”

In all the leagues I've drafted so far this year, he's been going 9th-10th round. About the 40th RB off the board and usually that teams 4th RB picked.

At that price, count me in. Even really bad teams produce fantasy gold. You just have to know where to mine for it.

I like Crowell this year as a later round pick. Would love to snag Duke in the 4th/5th and be able to get Crowell later. Wouldn't be surprised to see both of them finish in the top 20 or so.

Yup, and 4th-5th is where you need to get Duke, if you want him.

You don't know that they have the worst line.  Offensive line is often greater or worse than the sum of their parts.  Players are shuffling in and out, different combinations work better than others.  Hue is a very good coach, I'm not so sure they are just going to mail it in.

According to the FBG OL Rankings, Cleveland has one of the better OLs in the league.

You wouldn't be surprised for both of them to finish top 20 behind one of the worst OLs in the league? Crazy talk.
Well last year, Johnson was 24th and Crowell was 33rd in PPR. So that's not really a large leap. And FWIW, FBGs has Cleveland as the 6th best OL going into 2016. Not sure how much stock you want to put into that, but if they're OL ends up being the 6th best, it's not really hard to see them producing 2 Top 20 RBs.

First of all, the further you get from the top, the less useful total points are. In ppg (PPR), last season Duke was #38 and Crowell was #55. :X  Anyone who relied upon them in their lineup got burned.

Yes, it is a huge step to go from #24 and #33 into the top 20, even in total points. Like I said, crazy talk.

I put zero credence in Bitonti's OL rankings. He does not provide sufficient justification on why CLE OL would go from one of the worst in the league to one of the best.

I'm not taking his info as gospel, just saying that there's a chance Cleveland's OL isn't a complete dumpster fire.

I still think Crowell and Johnson offer good value at their current ADPs. Hue Jackson was able to get Hill and Gio to both be productive in Cincy. No reason Crowell and Johnson can't be just as valuable. Plus, it's not like Cleveland is loaded with talent at the other offensive skill positions.

I think this might leave a mark.

I can see Terrell Watson getting some love moving forward.
Yeah, I'm not sure he's good enough to survive something like this. Hopefully he's shown the door for something as disgusting as that after what just happened in Dallas. What a dope.

His action does not fit the culture of what Hue Jackson is trying to build. Personally, this is not something that should be swept under the carpet so his owners can score points. It is a black eye for him as man, for the Cleveland Browns franchise, and for relations. That does not scream starting running back to me and I would look to handcuff the more mature Watson immediately. You finally get your chance to be a starting running back in the NFL and you go and do something like that. What an oaf. Would love to see both him and Gordon on a different roster by seasons start. Part because I picked up Watson and part because I own Coleman.

Might take a late round flier on Duke in PPRs...and that's about the only Brown RB I'll be owning in standard leagues.

Looking like a grease fire in Cleveland, no thanks.

Isaiah Crowell isn't expected to face league discipline after posting an insensitive image on his Instagram account last week.
Crowell uploaded an image depicting harm against a police officer, but quickly deleted it. However, as we've learned, once it's on the internet, it's there forever. "The image was inappropriate and insensitive,'' NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said. "He realized this, took down the post and has since apologized." Crowell issued what seemed to be a sincere apology Monday.

The Browns issued a statement regarding Isaiah Crowell's insensitive Instagram post from last week, saying "just an apology" is "insufficient."
The Browns called Crowell's post "extremely disturbing and unacceptable," later saying "he must take steps to make a positive difference after a very negative and impactful post." It's worth noting just how much coach Hue Jackson and the new Cleveland regime preached high character this offseason. Crowell isn't expected to face league discipline, but the team could punish him.

True character rears its ugly head yet again. Crowell is and always has been a POS. He'll end up screwing over his teammates and his FF owners before it is all said and done.  He can't help himself.

Just the kind of thing you want to see from a guy who is looking for a new contract. Chances are the Browns will divert from investing much in the guy this year or next.

Not a great decision on his part, smh

however, he could be a solid buy low right now
I was just thinking the same.  While I wish thugs like Crowell were shown the door, that isn't likely to happen based solely on this incident.  With no real threat behind him, Crowell will still likely emerge as the primary ball carrier in an offense which should favor the run game.  Worried fantasy owners might be willing to sell for a reduced price, but once this blows over (and it mostly will), Crowell's value will spike back up.

I wouldn't overlook Miami's all time rusher.

Duke Johnson is extremely talented, not just as a receiving back, but also as a runner and in pass protection, and I will not completely dismiss his potential as an every down back.  It would not be a complete shock to see a split in carries which favors Johnson; however, I think it is more realistic that Hue Jackson utilizes Johnson much as he did Gio Bernard in Cincinnati, and a split in carries, especially near the goal line, which favors Crowell.

Duke isn't a late round flier guy either. He's early 7th in standard, late 5th round in ppr.
