ISIS Enshrines a Theology of Rape (1 Viewer)

Should we invade?
We don't need to, They can just come here and muslimize our country. I believe Obama appointed one muslim lady from the middle east who posted in her Stanford yearbook how she is proud to be muslim and wants to make our country more like the middle east. Congrats to her for her promotion.
Some serious idiots in this world.
I think it was an idiotic move to appoint someone head of immigration whos goal is to make America more muslim. Looking at the job Obama has done I certainly wasn't surprised by that move......
Fear and ignorance make people say some pretty stupid stuff.

She went to school at Memphis, was only a special assistant in the office of the director, and since June has been a policy associate on immigration and rural affairs.

She is Muslim though

you might not be, but whatever terrible source you get your info from most certainly is making it up.
Obviously a portion of Americans probably aren't very happy with muslims being in high positions of government looking at the current climate of the world, can you seriously blame them?
yes
Well, maybe in the near future we call all have our heads lopped off for nothing more then breathing air. That should cheer you up.....

All these crazy religions have rules about sleeping with slaves. Here's one (Leviticus 19:20):

20 “‘If a man sleeps with a female slave who is promised to another man but who has not been ransomed or given her freedom, there must be due punishment.[a] Yet they are not to be put to death, because she had not been freed.
To be fair, one was published thousands of years ago and one a little more recent than that.
Kind of a significant detail that gets lost.

self-hate isn't healthy. I'd stick with hating those mooslim boogeymen.

We are talking about an eternal God here handing down rules. 2000 years is basically nothing.

Teenage Islamist 'poster girl' who fled Austria to join ISIS was used as a sex slave for new fighters before she was beaten to death as she tried to escape, former prisoner reveals
  • Samra Kesinovic, 17, from Vienna, fled home to join the terrorist group

A teenage Austrian girl who fled home to join ISIS was used as a sex slave by the terrorist group before she was beaten to death, a former prisoner has revealed.

Samra Kesinovic, 17, and her friend Sabina Selimovic, 15, became 'poster girls' for the death cult after they arrived in Syria in April 2014.

They appeared on ISIS websites carrying AK-47s and surrounded by groups of armed men.

But by October that year, there were reports Miss Kesinovic wanted to flee having been sickened by the terror group's murders.

She was killed by ISIS as she tried to flee their stronghold of Raqqa.

Prior to her death, she was forced to be a sex slave for the terror group, according to a Tunisian former extremist who lived with the two girls in the terror group's de facto capital.

The Tunisian woman said the two Austrian teenagers lived together in the same house and were viewed as a 'sexual present for new fighters'.

- Horribly sad stuff.

What ISIS is prescribing is much worse, but it should be noted that many of our so-called "friends" in the region have less than stellar records when it comes to women. A quick Google search about women in places like Dubai or Saudi Arabia might surprise many of you. And much of this is rooted in religion, so it's deeper than just a few bad guys. ISIS takes an extreme view, but I doubt they are the only ones in the region that believe this type of behavior is acceptable.

In the past I have. Well before there was a South Sudan.

I can not recall ever seeing anything from a liberal friend in regards to South Sudan, Burma, CAR or Daesh.

A dead lion? Check.

Gay marriage? All over that!

Black Lives Matter? Sign them up!

Income inequality? Done.

Campus rape? Yup.

Minimum wage? Down with the rich man!

This list goes on.... but the list stops if you want to talk the horrors of Daesh. Now, I am not even talking about action. I am simply talking about caring at all. Showing a smidge of attention that is shown to gay marriage in the US as there is for gay men (or accused- who knows?) being executed by throwning them off of buildings by Daesh.
One of these things is not like the other (well, except for the idiocy over a lion's death) - all of these are social/domestic issues here in the US. ISIS is a foreign issue. People generally feel they can help "fix" domestic issues, they are closer to home. Foreign issues are not something people feel they have any real control over - it's in gov't (and potentially military) hands. I don't think that is a liberal or conservative thing, it's just how people are.

As for what to do, I am firmly convinced that military action on the US's part, except as a supporting role, will cause more problems than it solves. Likewise, a high level of rhetoric, beyond just condemning their actions, which everyone on both sides of the aisle is doing, only helps those who are trying to recruit new terrorists, by validating their "us versus them" and their desired war against the infidels. Instead, it is important for other Islam countries to take the lead, with the US playing a supporting role. If the US leads the charge, it will lead to creating new terrorists at a greater rate, leading to a never-ending war. It needs to be a charge within the Muslim world, led from the moderate and liberal Muslim countries.

That's not to say that if there is a clear danger to US interests we shouldn't act. Of course we should. But the underlying problem will not be solved via the US military, no matter what Trump or other "tough talkers" (regardless of ideology), have to say.

Lol moderate and liberal Muslim countries.
Liberal as compared to other states where the majority religion is Islam. For example: Bahrain, Tunisia, Lebanon, Kuwait, even Jordon, UAE. Egypt was, not sure after the Arab spring/military takeover. No were near (or even a majority) of Muslim's want to spread Sharia Law and the like, and even less of those who do favor doing so through violent means.

Tunisia is the only democracy in the Arab world, they just want to be left alone. Bahrain is tiny, cannot influence anything, majority of Lebanon is a puppet of Iran, the minority just wants to get through the day. Kuwait is tiny, very conservative. UAE is too busy building there super city to care. Egypt was given the chance at democracy and the people decided the best way forward for there nation was ultra conservative muslim brotherhood.

There is no such thing as a liberal Muslim nation in the middle east. The religion at its core is conservatism to the extreme.

What does that rhetorical question have to do with the middle east being conservative and ruled by militaries, theocracies and kingdoms?

Im not a religious person, I go to church when someone dies or gets married so if your looking to bait someone into argument about the negative impacts religion has on politics your barking up the wrong tree.

It doesn't, just an observation.

Turkey down?

Would you consider a nation that jails journalists for critizing the President a liberal nation?
Maybe liberal was the wrong word, as I said, I meant it in comparison to other countries with Islam as the majority religion. Secular may fit better though - those countries that, although Muslim's dominate the populous, they govern from a secular standpoint rather than a religious one.

Exactly. And Bahrain and Dubai would be considered extremely conservative as well. People that say otherwise have probably never been over there. When you can't buy alcohol anywhere and porn is banned but have prayer rooms in every building I would consider that conservative.

Am I happy with Turkey's government over the past 10-15 years? No, they regressed greatly under their conservative (secretly Islamist) AKP party government. Until recently though it was a very secular country, thanks to Mustafa Kemal.

Not all US conservatives are religious and not all religious people are conservatives. I thought liberals didn't like stereotypes?

They like double standards and stereotypes are fine as long as they are the ones doing it. HTH.....

I was in Dubai last year. Drank booze I bought legally, as well as condoms, and banged a local. They're relatively conservative but it's not that extreme.
