Isn't it Ironic? (1 Viewer)

Rookie WR Marques Colston from the New Orleans Saints is on pace to record 75 receptions for 1300 yards and 13 TD's. In the lead by far for the ROY... IMO

If we were told in August that the rookie of the year was going to be from the Saints, 100% of us would have said Bush. isn't it ironic that it probably will be a rookie from the Saints but not Bush?

Speaking of whom...

Am I wrong, or is Colston at TE easily the fantasy MVP this year? In my league he's something like 30 pts ahead of the next guy.

He might be in some leagues, but the vast majority of leagues have him at his proper position. So not in general, no.

In my Yahoo! league he is, I picked him up off WW, I traded him for a legit TE (Gates) and got a 1st round next year for my 2nd round (keep 4 players). I've expunged my guilt of using him as a TE, got a stud keeper, and moved up big time in next year's draft (He's currently 10th, I'm 3rd, 14 managers).

I guess this should go in the gloat thread that's pinned. Sorry.

Too bad Greg Jennings got dinged. He could have given Colston a run for his money. Alas, the Packers will have to settle for the DROY instead!

Good call. Jennings might just come back but Colston is really playing lights out. However- it looks like the Saints have turned the corner leaving Brooks and the Haslett era in the rear view mirror. Brees, Bush and Colston have been great improvements for the team and yes- Colston is more than deserving....

Since Colston was not drafted by the Saints as a TE, nor does he play TE. Whatever leagues that have him listed as a TE can`t be taken seriously. Maybe Boldin will be listed as a TE next year because of his size.

A 7th round draft pick as ROY? I doubt anyone saw that coming.

I'm not real up on my history, anyone know what the latest round draft pick to end up ROY the year is? Possibly an undrafted guy?

You mean the Packers will have to settle for asking Demeco Ryans if he will show them his DROY trophy.Ryans, 7th in the NFL in tackles.

AJ Hawk, 24th.

:goodposting: A.J. Hawk is having a good year for a rookie, but DeMeco is much more of a impact player. While "fantasy" ratings may differ....Ryans is the clear cut DROY so far in my eyes.

Then Sims and Hawk are close behind at this time.
