There was actually a show recently on Food Network that showed a restaurant making their own. My son asked if we could. I can't say it looked terribly hard but you need to get the right ingredients and get a setup to do it right and seemed like more work than I'd realistically do on a regular basis.SLB commenting on store bought mozzarella. Agree on the effort - hopefully its not a big deal once you get used to it - recipe sez it only takes 20 mintues. Just need some rennet and citric acid.
