It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (1 Viewer)

That was awful.  Not sure if it's the worst episode but I don't want to see it again.  Very disappointed.  Good idea just few laughs.  Oof

I admire the ambition both in tackling the subject matter as well as the method in which they did it, but certainly not the funniest episode. It had its moments, especially early on. Doesn't help that I don't often care for musicals.

it's season freaking 11, they need/deserve to do different things to keep it fresh
I'm not complaining about them taking risks. Just saying that one was a swing and a miss for me. Like EG, I really don't like musicals. And while there were a couple of laughs, there certainly wasn't close to as many as I expect from the show.

Of course, being the worst ASIP episode is like being the homeliest Victoria's Secret model.

I think this is Season 12, actually.  They're obviously going to try a bunch of different stuff to keep it fresh.  They did this last year with the skiing episode and (to a greater extent) the "Being Frank" episode last year and the "Charlie Work" and "Maureen Ponderosa Wedding Massacre" episodes in season 10.  I respect the originality of the concept, I just found the "lol" moments to be fewer and farther between.  That's OK.  I feel like musicals hinder comedy a bit.  It's harder to be hilarious when everything has to rhyme.

I loved the the night man cometh.  And I don't care for musicals.  I would rate that a 9 and last night a 3.
That was a whole different animal though.  The "musical" portion of The Nightman Cometh was only a small portion of the episode and it was shot so that we were behind the curtain.  This episode, we're in the audience, and probably 80-90% of the dialogue was sung as opposed to spoken. TNC was probably the inverse.

Felt more preachy and social commentarish than I'd expect a "the gang" story to be.

Agree on the Fat Albert and junk size comments.  To me, Frank was the only one in the story who felt like Frank.

the skiing episode  :lmao: :lmao:

Skiing episode was good.

The premise is running out of steam but it's still a great show. Let's not be too critical. Still the best thing on regular cable.

ef all y'all, I loved it
+1

"I think we're not supposed to make wild assumptions about black people based on whether or not we have stuff in our pockets"

Charlie is gold as always and the dude can sing. Loved this episode as a nice, bizarre, fresh start to a new season.

:lmao:   Almost spit out my drink when Dennis waves his hand in front of "old black guy" face.

After last week's ambitious statement episode, this week we get a total "throwaway" episode. These are probably my favorites because they're not pigeonholed into making a point and can go anywhere. Hilarious.
