I think that there are so many RFAs that teams are still catching up to see who was tendered and at what level. Also, teams will probably start releasing some more players to avoid roster bonuses, get vets to accept less money, etc. so there may be some more options over the next week or so.Pretty slow start to Free Agency this year... or so it feels like. I wonder if they are sitting back a little to see how some teams will handle the uncapped year... Probably waiting to see what Washington or Oakland does.
Seems to make it more likely that Chicago will trade Olsen.
I don't think the 2 have any connection. If anything, makes it more likely that Des Clark will be released. Olsen isn't really a "blocking" type of TE, Manumaleuna isSeems to make it more likely that Chicago will trade Olsen.

The Bears signing of free-agent defensive end Julius Peppers is imminent, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
A separate source has told the Sun-Times that former Vikings running back Chester Taylor will also sign with the Bears today. A press conference announcing the signings of Peppers, Taylor and tight end Brandon Manumaleuna is expected to be held at Halas Hall later this afternoon.
The source said that although the Patriots and Eagles have also made offers for Peppers, the deal the Bears are offering is worth millions more per season and it would be a huge upset if Peppers left Halas Hall, where he is visiting today, without signing what is expected to be a six-year contract with approximately $12 million per year with the first three years guaranteed.
The source said the Eagles and Pats are offering deals that are closer to $10 million per year.
There are going to be a lot of upset Forte owners.Bears appear to be signing Peppers and Chesta

It's all about greed, I guess. Surely, Peppers has more than enough $ to last the rest of his life. I'd sign w/the Eagles so I can win. There are going to be a lot of upset Forte owners.Bears appear to be signing Peppers and Chesta

Interesting that in the article they suggest Taylor will be the starting back.

If Peppers signs with the Bears, he has no interest in winning.I'm waiting for Az-hakim, Shaun McDonald and JT O'Sullivan to be signed so they can start too.Interesting that in the article they suggest Taylor will be the starting back.
One and done is coming. It's probably his last contract, so why wouldn't he get the most out of it he could? It's all about greed, I guess. agreed, but getting the most out of it might not mean getting the most money. it might, but, for some people, it might not. It's probably his last contract, so why wouldn't he get the most out of it he could? It's all about greed, I guess. Forte will make a good third down backInteresting that in the article they suggest Taylor will be the starting back.
Forte just became a good great value play especially in Dynasty. He's coming off a weak year and now this. He's got loads of talent and Chester is pretty old. I'm buying.Gopher State said:Forte will make a good third down backDavid Yudkin said:Interesting that in the article they suggest Taylor will be the starting back.sho nuff said:![]()
