Enough is enough. Woody Johnson stays quiet in the background but he is not patient to a fault as was Leon Hess.
The JETS are a mess.
Boy Wonder, Eric Mangini is a fraud. He hails from the defensive side, yet the JETS defense remains a joke and is getting worse not better. He seems incapable of crafting the talent (Vilma, Robertson, Elliis) to a system (4-3) that will get the best results given their strengths/weaknesses. He stubborningly sits back with the Patriots 3-4 blueprint (without the personnel and ignoring the fact that the Pats use all sorts of different looks) with awful results -- a deadly combo of no QB pressure and a weak run defense. The pathetic lack of ability to tackle demonstrated by Dyson on Plax on the sidelines was downright criminal and indicative of a team in which "hard hitting" is not emphasized.
Chad's ship has sailed. He is a great person, great leader, but his arm is shot. He makes the entire JETS offense so much easier to defend with his inability to throw a NFL-caliber pass more than 20 yards. He can probably carve out a nice career as a veteran, change of pace, backup QB.
While we're at it, take the Accountant turned GM, Mike Tannenbaum with you when you leave Mangini.
Make a hard run in the off season for a Cowher, Schottenheimer type of real NFL coach.
