But the Jets will have their choice of Da Brick, a Top 2 QB or the 2nd-best defensive player on the board. The fans can't possibly boo the selection this year -- can they?

Question for the hardcore Jets fans: Do you recall any 1st round picks that the fans live in attendance have been happy with? I don't recall them booing Vilma. Anyone else?

There's also rarely a uniformity among the fans -- although Pennington and Keyshawn were pretty clearly wanted by a majority. Guys like Thomas, Becht and Brady were out of nowhere surprises, and were booed. Abraham and Ellis were pretty much unknown to the average fan.

No I never watch Cold Pizza, but somehow after I jumped out of the shower today, it was on my TV.

Some guy had the Jets taking a SURPRISE pick in Vernon Davis. Something about Mangini's past and his man-love for VD.

I've been a Jet fan all my life and this would give me a heart attck. I don't care how good the guy is, you don't take a Tight End at 4.

Worst I remember was Kyle Brady. Jets already draft Johnny Mitchell in the 1st rd 2 or 3 yrs ago; Sapp was on the board and they were dying for a DL. Kotite goes for a slow plodding TE.

Brady was booed so bad he was clearly shaken in his interview - I remember him saying - "I have to go into the crowd and make some friends!"

Best reception Keyshawn - he was leading Jet chants before the draft began!

Nicely done man. Personally, Vilma was a 10+ to me. We were very lucky to have him drop. I was afraid someone else would snatch him up. Robertson was a TERRIBLE pick, I agree, but on draft day for some reason, I felt good about it. (6 or 7).

I was also personally estatic with the Moss and Pennington picks.

Anthony Becht... uggh... Kyle brady...oh please don't make me relive that one.

In retrospect the Jets actually had a good amount of successful players on that list. Far better than the expectations from normal first round picks. There are 7 guys who have been studs at one point in their career on that list -- that's pretty good.Obviously I agree with you that Vilma's a 10+. He's the heart of the Jets future. But the rating was strictly fan reaction.

Well, regarding the DROB pick.... Bradway already sold the farm to move up to the 4 spot.. THE DAMAGE WAS DONE....

At that point it just would have been embarrasing NOT to get DROB.

I don't think there will be Boos with these guys - Most of the noted Boos were TE's, a FB, Bryan Thomas Etc...All these guys are "pretty good"... Prospects and it will be hard to shock us with a Bryan Thomas over Ed Reed or Brady over Sapp type manuever

I don't remember any Boos for the Chad/Abe/Ellis/Becht picks.....

The funny part for a Jets fan isn't the Jet Fans Booing - It's the noises Berman makes with each pick "ooooooooooh".... "Ladies and gentleman, we have the 1st upset in the draft"....It's not like the Jet fans were wrong - I watched this again for the 10th time and the 1 pick I will say they were wrong about was Freeman Mcneil - that was a long time ago though and I don't recall that draft.

For the drafts I have followed the Jet picks deserved a lot of "oooohs and ahhhs and Boooos" Just like Berman did....
