J. Lewis, what's the latest? (1 Viewer)

BigTex

Don't mess with Texas
Is the hip injury worst than what was reported? I can't imagine with the new contract that he's going to be the #2.

Where are the Bal homers?

nfl.com doesn't tell the entire story.................or does it!?

Thanks anyway!

Running backs: Jamal Lewis helped set the tone early with some good runs on the first drive, but he seemed to get tired as the game wore on. Backup Mike Anderson had 25 yards on seven carries and Musa Smith had two carries for 6. Overall, it was an effective job by the three. Nothing special, but consistent. Grade: C

 Thanks for the observation. So, it seems to be more of a condition situation more than anything?

So how do you handle the schedule in a three team league?
Why all the ball bustin....are all you guys losing this week??? :confused:I agree Big Tex could find out this info if he looked around the net but sheesh, give a guy a break, either you have some info or you don`t...why call him a tard and such...just my :2cents:

Thanks BustedKnuckles,

I actually ignored Brew's post. I haven't been keeping up with JLew at all until I recently notice that he was dropped. The owner seemed to have dropped JLew out of desperation, with the news of his hip injury the guy made a desperate move in picking up another RB.

Don't you guys get tired of posting this kind of comment? How does this comment answer the posters question?
Agreed, I wish stupidity was painful. I thought this was a place for NFL talk, it's obvious that I haven't been keeping up with JLew (or why would I post). I'm very surprised that he was dropped or else I wouldn't have posted this thread.Usually when something happens the Pool is the place to get that information, but some people just can't put away childish things.

So, as far as the latest news going.......

MFL has him listed as questionable while Footballguys does not have him listed questionable in thier rushing matchups.

Anyone have an idea?

In a radio spot on Mon or Tues, Billick said that all three RBs were suffering from cramps in the Tampa heat. First Jamal, then musa, which led to Anderson seeing a lot of carries late in the game. there was no mention of him aggravating the hip injury in the post game reports, although he is listed as questionable on the official early (WED) injury report. Reports are that he is expected to play, but I guess buyer beware somewhat.

One thing to note on the injury report, EVERY Raven on the injury list this week is categorized as "Questionable" including Jamal, Heap, Stover, Ed Reed and starting center Mike Flynn. According to this report, all of those guys practiced yesterday and are expected to play this week.

I'm wondering if McNair might have brought the Titans approach to the injury report along with him.

Thanks very much for the update. It was a pleasant change from everyone throwing around insults in here.

Both Bass and Tex are both quality posters. Sometimes we all write something we don't really mean out of frustration. It happens....

Considering I'm usually one of the smartasses, I figured I'd turn tables for a change. ;)

If you could trade J.Lewis for R.Bush in a redraft....with return yards, do you pull the trigger
NO
I'd rather have Reggie Bush over J Lewis in any league, return yds or not.
Lewis should be a TD stud this year, but Bush to me, FWIW, is the kind of guy I could see having 3-4 TD's in a game...One return, 2 rushing, 1 rec. He just has that look that he could break one anytime.I personally think when he adjusts to the NFL speed, he's gonna be HUGE.

Nah, he's still an idiot. Lewis is top 10 in rushing attempts and top 24 in rushing yards versus an extremely tough schedule.
