Any homie news on Shockey? Still hurt? I'll feelings about misdiagonsis? Another Winslow incident?

Any information will be helpful in determining whether I pick him off waivers in a PPR...NO TE start league.

WATFORD, England -- One of the first people I saw upon walking into The Grove, the resort where the New Orleans Saints are staying this week, was tight end Jeremy Shockey.

Shockey

He was bouncing around and seemed to be in a much better mood than he was in Charlotte less than 24 hours ago. After Sunday's loss to the Panthers, Shockey said he had aggravated the sports hernia he recently had surgery before, questioned why the original injury wasn't diagnosed sooner and wasn't even sure he'd make the trip to London for Sunday's game with the San Diego Chargers.

He did and coach Sean Payton said Shockey was feeling better Monday than he did Sunday. Payton said he expects Shockey to be able to play Sunday. Shockey wasn't available to talk to the media, but he seemed to be moving well and was smiling as he passed through the lobby several times.

"I'm sure he's got some soreness," Payton said. "Last night on the plane, it started to feel a little bit better. With both he and Marques [Colston], I've got to be mindful that they're just now getting back in it. You just can't take for granted that you just come back out and play at 100 percent. He's right now on course. He's following all the protocol with his doctor and our trainers and we've just got to monitor how much and making sure there aren't any setbacks. I know he was sore after the game and obviously frustrated. We've just got to make sure we're not taking any negative steps backwards."

Payton said he and Shockey talked during the flight across the Atlantic and he understood Shockey's frustration.

"There's a frustration for all of us in that there was a time in training camp when it went from groin to hernia," Payton said. "It's not uncommon in regards to the diagnosis. Fortunately for us, we know exactly what it is. He saw a specialist in Philadelphia and that guy did a great job with the surgery.

"It's frustrating because you're talking about a player who's used to excelling at a certain level. We discussed this a little bit last night on the flight, how difficult it is when you're used to playing at a certain level and this injury is keeping him from being 100 percent. I do think he's moving forward and getting better. He's an emotional guy and that's one of the things I like about him. I like the fact it's so important to him."

(1) Excelling at what level? Overatedness? Being a ########? (2) Keeping him from being 100 percent??? The guy is NEVER at 100%. I wish this guy would choose another career so we don't have to hear about his pathetic injuries, whining and look at me stuff everyday.

removed from the injury report. Should be a good start against the Chargers. Seems like TEs score pretty good against SD.

You can ask TU - I have had a long time disdain for the guy. :)

So is Shockey playing today? Lots of silence with his injury/playing status as the week went on.....

i usually dont ask for help, and i know this is the wrong bored, but i'm thinking of starting Shockey over Witten. do i need to put down the crack pipe? this one has me pullin out my hair. i'm prolly over thinkin it and should just go with Witten.

With no Reggie Bush I think Shockey's a good play.

Of course anything can happen on a "different pitch" - longer spikes and all over there, but on paper this is a good game for him.

I just read he is active but will not start??? Nothing worse than that update when trying to set your lineup............
