He has an indominable spirit. He doesn't give a #### if he sucks, he always goes all out. The Tenacious D stuff showed that and I've never forgotten it and every now and again he flashes it again. More like Belushi in spirit than anyone else I've ever seen.

no, it's a band.they had a show on HBO. they put out an album. they put out a DVD. they toured for a few years. they do have a movie coming out this fall though.

I think Jim Carey has developed into a solid actor but I was never a huge fan of most of his comedies.

JB isn't a standup comedian though. He's just a spaz and a guy who can't help but be funny in everyday situations. His movies have been hit or miss, but he doesn't have that much control over those as he does with his Tenacious D stuff. That's where he really shines, IMO.

I respect that. For good reasons I lose it with some people. I don't think he is funny. It's the acting like a goof gets you a role idea. Most may think I blow smoke..but I'm in it. Actors who suck and take work away from better people piss me off. He is one of them.

The intrigue with Chapelle has shifted from what he can deliver to will he freak out again. My only reason today.

Jack Black's humor is something you really don't get until you've seen the episodes and the D live. Jack Black onstage is something you need to see to believe - believe me, he's a comic genius. Don't go by his movies since for the most part it's not the real JB.

I like him....as a supporting type actor. In a lead role, it's kind of the same old act over and over again.

High Fidelity he was perfect. Every scene he was in, he stole the scene.

Ever since someone decided he was good enough to be a lead....well, hasn't been nearly as good.

He was always much stronger as kind of an "underground" player. However, IMHO he gets a lifetime pass for High Fidelity.

The guy is gifted - watch him on SNL, or on the Conan O' Brien 10th Anniversary Special. He's more talented than 99% of the people out there that pass as entertainers these days.
