I cant understnad why Leftwich was the starting qb for the game yesterday.Bad decision by the coach, they went 4-1 with Garrard and i think they are better with him in the game , more mobile as good as a passer what else do you wnat out of your qb.Their defense took them, there , and the offense screwed them.So i say , you get rid of Letwich ( give the starting job to Garrard )You need a RB trough free agency or via the draft plus what do you do at WR you have Smith ( isay he is about finished ) Jones average , WIliams ( below average )You keep the D intact , sign a real RB and a WR ( Owens is a possibility ) then you can challenge the best teams , but not with the team they have now.

dude, they had the easiest second half schedule in the NFLGarrard is not a better QB than LeftwichLeftwich was on the money yesterday even though he was out for a reasonable amount of timehe was hitting the WR's in the numbers, they were just dropping everythingit wasnt the QB position that was the problem yesterdaythey should upgrade at RB and their WR's are OK, Matt Jones will be better next year and Ernest Wilford is decentthey could use a pass catching TE and a more versatile back, but Leftwich is fine

I'm sorry but this seriously has to be the worst course of action i've seen in years. Leftwich is a fine QB and, though Jags' fans like myself would love a mid-round RB choice, given the depth this year, I think our main concerns are drafting an OT/OG, getting a good hybrid TE ( Tim Day sound like a late round selection) and picking up a OLB in case Akin Ayodele chooses to leave (although we do have Jamie Winborn). Regardless, Will Witherspoon is a name that meets the Jags' parameters as he's going to be a talented, cheap OLB. Besides, the Jags are quite fond of taking players that have a few years' experience in Carolina's system ( a la Deon Grant).

Leftwich is fine as the starter. But Fred Taylor needs to go. I said in another thread that they should throw their money at Edgerrin James. I actually like Wilford, and think Jones is going to develop into a nice # 2. A receiving tight end is a must. I always though Wrighster had the ability to be an impact receiver, but he just hasn't shown much. Vernon Davis or MErcedes Lewis would be wise draft picks in the 1st round (although I think they both might be gone. Leonard Pope would be a solid # 2 choice)

Nice assessment, but I do not think Witherspoon will come cheap. He is an excellent OLB.
