Jacoby Jones or Kevin Walter (1 Viewer)

This is the 3rd year everybody said Jacoby Jones would be the next big thing in Houston.

Walter is one of the best blocking WRs in the NFL, has excellent hands & runs great routes. He just didn't get a lot of targets last year for some reason, despite starting 14 games. Jones started while Walter was out early last year & didn't do much to take the job then. I think Jones is a dangerous weapon, but is best served as the 3rd WR. Walter is the better all-around WR.

I think Walter remains the starter & gets more targets, but Jones will probably end up with equivalent fantasy stats because he really makes the most of his opportunities & is a scoring threat whenever he touches the ball.

:lmao: Walter is feast or famine. He'll disappear for two games, frustrate you enough to bench him, and then in the third game he'll score 20+ points on your bench. Houston's # 2 in the passing game is Owen Daniels when he's healthy. So at best you're gambling on two hit or miss guys that are the third option on the team (outside of which RB may be in the game as well). As a Texans fan, I'll tell you I didn't consider rostering either as they're both too hit or miss.

i watched a houston game in the preseason and jones appeared to be both talented and a major part of the offense. no knowledge otherwise

Those of you that still think Walter's will be the #2 aren't very good at FF. This is the year they will give Jones his shot to shine . Save this post and come back to talk to me, he will be a beast this year , I'm CALLING HIM THIS YEARS M.Austin. Also I drafted Austin last year so I do make so good calls sometimes. Ill say even though he won't have a shot to be #1 wr on Houston which Austin did, this guy if healthy all year will have 1000 and 8-10 tds this year and would of had more if not for a guy like Johnson there.
