Jacoby Jones (1 Viewer)

Folks have been keeping an eye on Jacoby Jones in Houston because he's a big guy could could put up good numbers in a very productive offense. It was just a question of if he could displace Kevin Walter for #2 WR.

Walter got zero targets yesterday. Does that suggest Jones is ahead of Walter now?

I wouldn't count on it. Still think not much has changed here since preseason. They're 2a/2b and it won't be easy to predict which one will get more involved any given week. The only real change is that Schaub is looking to Daniels more, which I think probably hurts Walter more than Jones, but if Daniels returns to be the #2 receiving option in Houston it hurts them both.

Walter is a good WR so I wouldn't use the 2a/2b thing as a judge of Jones just yet. Jones still has a lot of upside and it wasn't even expected that he'd beat out Walter this year anyway. He's played well but I don't think his future is in Houston since he's a free agent next year.

Jacoby Jones is Berian Berrian at best. Dude has 4 years to beat out Kevin Walter and has at best been a return yardage guy who can make a deep play. He is NOT a complete WR. He has inconsistent hands and does not go over the middle with any authority despite decent size. Will he put nice fantasy games? yes. Do i see him as a guy who I can trust as more than a fantasy WR3 or bye week fill-in? Not really.

He's now the clear #2.
um no he's not, and if he continues to drop passes and carry the ball like a water balloon, I wouldn't be surprised if Houston doesn't resign him. His lack of focus and discipline is wasting his natural ability. He's basically our version of James Jones.
