Jack Del Rio just said on local radio that they signed LB Nick Greisen formerly of the NY Giants. No link yet and not big news, but it could effect the upcoming draft.
That's a good question. I saw a report that he wanted to play in the middle but it's unlikely that the Jags will move Peterson. Daryl Smith has been playing strong side, but should be able to play either outside position. I don't think it's safe to assume Greisen is the starter yet, but should be in the mix come training camp.
Tennesee was trying to sign him but it got put off until after the draft.
I read he wanted out of New York because he wanted to be a starter and earn starting money - I wonder what JAX offered him?
Titans | Talks with Greisen on hold

The Nashville City Paper reports talks with free agent LB Nick Greisen (Giants) are on hold apparently until after the NFL Draft. Whether talks will be rekindled might hinge on how many linebackers the Titans selects in the NFL Draft.
Jim Wyatt and Paul Kuharsky, of the Tennessean, report Tennessee Titans general manager Floyd Reese said he hoped to send a new contract proposal to Brad Leshnock, agent for free agent linebacker Nick Greisen (Giants), in the next few days.
* The Jaguars are considering drafting a middle linebacker -- maybe Iowa's Abdul Hodge -- with the idea they might move Mike Peterson outside. Peterson, who started his career there in Indianapolis, is supposedly OK with the idea of moving back. He has played well in the middle for the Jags, but there is some thinking that he would be even more of a playmaker outside.
If the team can land a middle backer like Hodge, they could then play Peterson outside with Darryl Smith opposite him. That would increase the speed at the outside spot, which coach Jack Del Rio and defensive coordinator Mike Smith want to do. Hodge is an interesting player because he was the leading tackler at Iowa, not his more-heralded teammate, Chad Greenway. He is also from Florida, having played his high-school football in Fort Lauderdale.
