warner has the best career QB rating of anyone here.Call me crazy but I'd choose Bulger out of the guys on this list.Rank Player Team Yds Att Cmp TDs Ints Long Rating1 Matt Hasselbeck SEA 3459 449 294 24 9 56 98.22 Marc Bulger STL 2297 287 192 14 9 57 94.43 Brad Johnson MIN 1885 294 184 12 4 80 88.94 Jake Delhomme CAR 3421 435 262 24 16 80 88.15 Mark Brunell WAS 3050 454 262 23 10 78 85.96 Kurt Warner ARI 2713 375 242 11 9 63 85.87 Donovan McNabb PHI 2507 357 211 16 9 91 85.08 Drew Bledsoe DAL 3639 499 300 23 17 71 83.79 Chris Simms TB 2035 313 191 10 7 78 81.410 Eli Manning NYG 3762 557 294 24 17 78 75.911 Josh McCown ARI 1836 270 163 9 11 49 74.912 Michael Vick ATL 2412 387 214 15 13 58 73.113 Joey Harrington DET 2021 330 188 12 12 86 72.014 Brett Favre GB 3881 607 372 20 29 59 70.915 Aaron Brooks NO 2882 431 240 13 17 66 70.016 Kyle Orton CHI 1869 368 190 9 13 54 59.7
I love Delhomme. He is a fiery competitor and a winner BUT the best QB in the NFC is Mr. Matt Hasselbeck!!Now that's a2004: 29 TDs, 15 INTs, 3886 yards
2005: 24 TDs, 16 INTs, 3421 yards
Career playoff numbers: 10 TDs, 2 INTs, 98/157 for 1446 yards, 5 wins and 1 loss.
This is false. S. Smith is a top 5 WR. But, Delhommes best statistical year came last year when S. Smith was injured. How quickly people forget Mushy's success last year.I don't think he's the best QB, I just think he has the best weapon in Steve Smith. All they gotta do is get the ball in his hands and the guy makes plays. He's an unstoppable FREAK! In 2 games against the Bears he put up almost 400 yds receiving!!! However, Delhomme did pretty good last year with Moose as well. But Moose isn't the freak the Smith is.

Yes, I know you did but then one sentence later you said S. Smith is a freak. And although I agree that Smith is better then Moose, Delhomme had a statistically better year with Smith not there last year. I think people need to quit attributing Jake's success to players around him and give him his due respect. The guy can play: period!I mentioned that. This is false. S. Smith is a top 5 WR. He can play, but Hasselbeck is getting seriously disrespected. He lost DJax and didn't miss a beat throwing to Engram, Jurevicius, and Hackett.Yes, I know you did but then one sentence later you said S. Smith is a freak. Your right Hass can play. And is a great QB. Hass plays in a great system and has a great O-line and running game to compliment his great passing skills as well. IMO Hass gets more recognition as being a much better QB then Jake which I feel is not the case. I think they are very close at this point but before the playoffs everyone would have been saying Hass by a mile which was clearly not the case.He can play, but Hasselbeck is getting seriously disrespected. He lost DJax and didn't miss a beat throwing to Engram, Jurevicius, and Hackett.Yes, I know you did but then one sentence later you said S. Smith is a freak. Where are you seeing Hass getting more recognition than Delhomme? I have yet to see that.IMO Hass gets more recognition as being a much better QB then Jake which I feel is not the case.
Yep. The guy has been decent at winning football games since arriving in Carolina. That team was crushed with injuries last season and he nearly brought them back to the playoffs. He is nails in the postseason. It is pretty clear guys on his team play hard for him. What qualifiers are missing? He might not be the best but in a real football game...not an EA sports game or FF game...but real football game that I needed to win I would take him over everyone in the NFC except McNabb, Favre and Hasselbeck.Too many of you are jaded by his lack of Fantasy Football points.
Just a little Devil's Advocate...if it is that easy than why did the Collins to Moss connection fail? Injuries aside, what happened? Why did S. Moss have such a great year in Washington for a washed up QB? How about Galloway in Tampa with Simms? The QB-WR relationship is very symbiotic. Total chicken versus egg scenario, opinion, and you cannot have one without the other. Great QB make an average WR better and a great WR makes an average QB great. I'd say Smith and Delhomme are each above average and complimentary of one another.I don't think he's the best QB, I just think he has the best weapon in Steve Smith.
Was McNabb an oversight or an intentional snub?Just based on the 2005 season, I think Hasselbeck is head and shoulders above anybody else in the NFC, and Delhomme is in a large second tier that also includes Michael Vick, Mark Bulger, Brett Favre, and Mark Brunell.
Is there still a debate between Hasselbeck and Delhomme?Your right Hass can play. And is a great QB. Hass definitely played better in this game, but one game does not make this any easier. Delhomme has made a SB appearence already, and their stats are pretty close. Right now it is Hass because of this game but still plenty of debate to be had. Next year will put alot of it to rest.Is there still a debate between Hasselbeck and Delhomme?Your right Hass can play. Sure. You'll always find someone willing to debate it. You'll also find someone that wants to debate whether or not the moon landing and the holocaust occurred. Is there still a debate between Hasselbeck and Delhomme?
