Jake Kumerow WR GB (Dynasty) (1 Viewer)

Allison said he was going to be the slot role this year... Many thought that meant MVS was going to be in the flanker role.  Kumerow is looking to be the other outside WR opposite Adams.

Context Matters @dwainmcfarland

DeVante Adams played first series.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling played all snaps with Adams.

Allison saw the field on 11 personnel looks.

Kumerow appears to be the four.

Jimmy Graham played in 11 and 12 looks out for 21 for Marcedes Lewis. Lewis also played in 12 looks.

Jake Kumerow caught 2-of-2 targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' Week 7 win over the Raiders.

With Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison both returning from injury, Kumerow played the second most snaps in the Packers' receiver corps. His score was a 37-yarder where he practically tip-toed down the sideline. Although long a cause célèbre in hardcore fantasy circles, Kumerow has caught just six passes all year despite the Packers' injury issues in the receiver corps. It's hard to see it happening in the second half of the season.

Dropped him in dynasty a couple of weeks ago, this was the year for him to make an impact with Cobb gone and Adams/Allison missing games with injuries, but he's done little outside of this week when he caught 1 of 5 Rodgers TD passes.

He turns 28 in a few months.

Coach Matt LaFleur said "I think you'll see more of (WR Jake Kumerow) in the future."

LaFleur also stated, "We have to make sure we get him on the field. That's what we talked about today." Kumerow has flashed in the preseason and had a big catch for 49 yards in Week 15. Previously the second-year WR had just five combined targets in the team's last five games. Don't expect Kumerow to see enough work to provide real fantasy value in Week 16, but perhaps he'll provide some more sporadic chunk gains moving forward and turn into a boom-or-bust WR3.

Packers waived WR Jake Kumerow.

Kumerow was buried behind Davante Adams, Marquez Valdez-Scantling, Allen Lazard, and Equanimeous St. Brown. His release is a good sign for CFLer Reggie Begelton's roster chances.

Interesting to see if he gets claimed elsewhere or they decide they bring him back on the expanded practice squad with the new rules.

Rodgers talked highly of him yesterday...but he has limits athletically....do they see no upside in him at all?
