Jamaal Charles Thread: Hall of Famer? (1 Viewer)

Some of you guys crack me up....why is it so hard to believe that the injury charles had wasnt that bad and the chiefs were just playing it safe for one week and protecting there franchise player...im sure hes 100 % healthy and ready to crank it up on monday night at home...he should be good for 20 touches and over a 100 yards combined with a TD thrown in...think positive people (unless you`re a Davis owner lol)

OMG, Charles is going to be in a timeshare with Davis when he comes back!!!! :lmao:
Uh, Charles has 8 touches and Davis has 3. And Davis has more yards.I own both so I have no dog in this fight. But to suggest that JC is not going to share time with Davis going forward is just not true.

:lmao: he's got more than 2x the touches.
If by share you mean Charles won't get all the touches, then I agree.

In 2013 Davis had 16% of the overall rushes for KC. In this game he has 3 out of 11 or 29%.What part of this aren't you getting?

You're saying Davis is going to take Charles' work load. He isn't. Charles's workload is the same as last year.

Ok, it's obvious you're a 12 year old. Enjoy the game.

JC is seeing the goal line carries, in addition to most of the touches. This is like trying to argue Jeremy Hill is better to own than Gio.

It's obvious you aren't paying any attention to the fact that Charkes work load is the same this game as it was last year.

what exactly are you 2 arguing about?

i'm not seeing any practice reports posted, just that he practiced. any word on whether he was still a limited participant?
Limited per rotoworld
Jamaal Charles (ankle) was officially limited in Thursday's practice.

Charles appeared to be moving well to the reporters in attendance. Coach Andy Reid has already said he expects Charles to suit up for Monday night's game against the Patriots, but his status will be worth monitoring closely over the next 48 hours before you officially re-insert Charles as your RB1. Sep 25 - 5:33 PM
Good sign, but I'd take anything Reid says with a grain of salt. I mean, he's playing Bill Bellichek and the Patriots this week. Don't trust a word he says. We'll know Charles' true status at game time, and not a moment sooner.
Unfortunately maybe not even then. I can see Charles dressing regardless and then getting limited touches.
Normally id agree but i think if you combine what the reporters saw and what the team is saying im 90 % sure hes playing
90%?

The coaches and reporters haven't been saying much of anything ...

General quotes like "Charles practicing" - but what did he do?

"Charles Seems to be moving well" ...What? He either is or he isnt?

Last week ..."Knile Davis takes 1st reps , Charles takes next 2" ... what the hell does that mean? was it a walk through? were those the only 2 reps

Charles practicing but limited ... Inpads? Cutting Hard?

Charles limited again? ... he "seemed to be moving well" a week ago?

They are obviously sheltering Charles from the media ... KC is @ SF next week and on a bye week 6

I think you'll see Charles after the bye
and you were saying?

Except for the fact that's just not true at all. Here are Charles' percentage of rushing plays:2013 - 59%

2014 - 10%

Games 1 and 4 (through q2 2 min warning) - 48%

Game 4 (through q2 2 min warning ) - 56%

How 3/11 = 29%, for starters.

Keep digging.

So let me get this straight jurb, for the record... You are saying that Jamaal Charles will continue to have the same percentage of touches for the rest of this year as he did all of last year. Do I have that correct?

The guy is playing and looks sharp. As long as he continues to look sharp, those of us that own him have every reason to be very relieved.

Only way to compare rushing percentages is to look at games when both Charles and Davis played and neither left the game via injury.

This seems to be the first time that both were healthy and Davis is getting a sizable share of the load.

Something to watch going forward if it's just a matter of not overworking Charles or an emerging RBBC trend.

Back to the game... Great to see Charles with the explosive speed and cutting ability. He's getting around the corner just about as good as he always has. Ankle definitely looks fine. Just about as good a news as any Charles owner could have expected.

Nice to see Davis is likely going to retain some value with Charles getting the majority, as he should. Each of these guys will be a monster if the other goes down, as we've seen.

If the line blocks like this every game then Charles and Davis owners should both be happy.

Have to admit that as a Charles owner I'm happy he was still used at the goalline. I was worried that Davis would be used as the short yardage and power back but that doesn't appear to be the case.
