Does anyone know if Thomas Davis will get his starting SLB job back or if James Anderson will keep the Car. Starting SLb. Thanks for the help in advance I appreciate it.

Davis was the starting WLB last year. I seriously doubt he comes back from an ACL in a lost season, but if somehow he does, I would think Beason would go back to the middle, and Anderson would remain at SLB. The real question is would he take 3rd downs away from Anderson, which is unclear but certainly a possibility. For now though, I wouldn't worry.

Thomas Davis will be 28 years old next year, and from what I understand his game is speed, but he has only one season with more than 72 tackles and his best sack year is 3.5 sacks, so I would not get overly excited about Thomas Davis. I will admit that he is a good player with great potential, but with two consecutive ACL injuries, I would guess that there are similar, if not better options in the short run. Who knows what the long run brings?One other thought, would any coach replace a player who is producing like James Anderson?
