Jared Cook-what a loser (1 Viewer)

Does cook think that kind of behavior will get more balls thrown his way? Hello, lance Kendrick's...meet Austin Davis!

He dropped a wide open TD pass luckily for us Cowboy's fans. What a piece of crap.

Yup. Couldn't believe that when I saw it happen. And after dropping an easy td. Absolute tool.

That's horrendous. Guess it's one of those times the QB should have left the receiver alone.

I've felt that way before in sports. But I always felt bad and would apologize and dust it off, personally and athletically. Cameras all over the place don't help.

He was frustrated and apologized. He knows he effed up and was wrong. I wouldn't read too much into.
Never heard anything bad from Cook, and he's been in the league for years. He got a little frustrated with the Titans' usage of him, but always weaseled it through his agent. He was advocating for himself. I wouldn't expect this to be a big deal, either.

Jared Cook @JaredCook89 ·

My actions from today's game were truly a mistake - unintentional and in the heat of the moment. There is never an excuse for unsportsmanlike conduct and I apologize to everyone. I want to thank my teammates again, Austin Davis and William Hayes for their support on the sideline- the Rams organization and Especially to all of our fans for whom we fight so hard for your love and continued support.

So which is it?

An unintentional mistake?

....or a bad decision that was made in the heat of the moment?

It can't be both.

He's in a shouting match with another guy and goes after him... QB just trying to slow him down and he brushes him off and continues to his intended target? No big deal. I doubt he even recognized the QB when he shoved him aside.

Easy now.

Hayes has known Cook for years, good for him. Looked like he knew something was up to even be there to notice.

Of course they are not going to cut him. LenDale White spit in his teammates face and Fisher didn't cut him.
Now imagine that Cook was any good.
 LenDale came to the Titans as undrafted free agent
White was a 2nd rd pick man.
Dam... You are correct. He just played like an undrafted free agent.
not true he had 1000 yards first year starting

I know the St. Louis homers are defending it as a non-issue heat-of-the-moment thing, but objectively you can't view it as anything be selfish and poisonous to the team. I would not want him as a teammate.

Not at all. Did you even see it? Davis was trying to shake his hand to say it's ok and Cook violently shoves his shoulder and slaps his hand out of the way. Davis's look on his face tells the whole story.

He was not in a shouting match with anyone. That was a rumor earlier but Bernie killed that rumor a few hours ago. Besides, Fisher's presser speaks volumes without him having to say it.

In regards to Cook taking accountability and "owning it", I say who cares? What else is he supposed to do? Who's else's mistake was it? It was caught on camera and he was about to get stomped by a guy who he's had in ins with on two teams now. Hayes is a leader. Cook turned around looking for blood but looked like he saw a ghost when he turned around. This is Cook's model. He takes himself out of games. He doesn't put forth the effort. He's had run ins with teammates who have tried to motivate him but he feels to big to be pushed. Screw this guy. This is a kid QB trying to be a leader and let Cook know all is good and lets go get it the next drive. Davis was shell shocked after that.

PS.. if you shove strike someone like that on the street that is assault. If a man does that to me I punch him in the adams apple and put him on the ground. This fires me up in a big way.

Cut him because he got a bit angry on the sideline? That's a bit odd.

Actually, Cook is more involved now than he ever was last year. He's a huge buy-low right now, as in go get off waivers. He's learning the offense and making plays. His real mistake yesterday was his endzone drop that cost them 4 points. But that drop might be enough to allow you to get him on your roster as a backup TE if that makes sense in your league.

Without intent. Unpremeditated. These are also things unintentional means.

It can be both. His agent did an okay job in scripting that.

Now imagine the world judged you on a bad moment.

Give the kid a break, he was pissed off and slapped a hand away - apologized for it.

Get over it.

:lmao:

I love the Shark Pool....

I watched it a few more times... clearly there are already people in pursuit of Cook by the time he gets to the QB (Hayes, a trainer, someone else coming in from the left)... I still think it is already "on" when he encounters Davis. The guys on the bench are already reacting to whatever he's spouting off about as he walks by.

Not saying Cook's not a jerk... but Davis just in the wrong place at the wrong time... trying to cheer up a 5-yr old in the middle of a tantrum.

The consistent golf clap from Hill is funny though!
