@AdamSchefter: Redskins will introduce Jay Gruden as their HC this afternoon, per sources.

@JasonLaCanfora: Jay Gruden is the new coach of the Washington Redskins. He has agreed to terms according to sources. Announcement later today

@JayGlazer: Jay Gruden has informed the Bengals that he has in fact been hired by the Redskins

@caplannfl: If Jay Gruden does become the #Redskins HC, look for #Bengals LBs coach Paul Guenther to get consideration as his defensive coordinator.

@RapSheet: If Jay Gruden finalizes a deal with the Redskins, a strong possibility is making Raheem Morris the DC. Kept on staff for a reason.

@JasonLaCanfora: Jim Haslett will remain the Redskins D coordinator in Washington, according to sources on Jay Gruden's new staff

@AdamSchefter: Redskins TE coach Sean McVay is expected to become Washington's OC, per league sources, Raheem Morris the likely defensive coordinator.

This sucks ###. Now we'll have several more years of mediocre-to-atrocious defense excused by "he doesn't have the players he needs". Offensive coordinators on other teams say Haslett's pretty easy to predict and game plan for. He's a dim bulb.

Yeah, I don't get keeping Haslett. Though we've heard recently that he was undermined by Shanahan.

Sad to see you go Jay.

But :pickle: if Hue is promoted. Gio will be a top 5 RB next year. Mark it down.
I used to remember a time when this move would tell the people who knew football that Bernard will get a bump. Today even the new fantasy player can look at Rotoworld after knowing nothing of Bernard or Jackson and see this is an uptick for Bernard. This is why true football fans do not have advantages over the newcomers anymore. DARN YOU INTERNET!

@RapSheet: You can tell a team's true feelings in a contract. How badly did the #Skins want Jay Gruden? Enough to lock him in for 5. Rare for 1st timer

I've already heard him called Jason Garrett of the north.
Giants and Eagles fan licking their chops..

Seems like with Cincinnati he has done less with more considering the weapons he had.. granted his quarterback isnt special but still AJ, 2 decent to good tes, hawkins, jones and sanu all decent to good wrs, gio and bge in the backfield.

plus a rookie head coach to be in charge of i want it my way griffin..

Daniel Synder when he looks at the field the first game of the season and screams:

"THAT's NOT THE GUY FROM TV. WHO THE HELL IS THAT GUY??????

@RapSheet: Talked to a GM who knows Jay Gruden well. Surmised he'd be a better head coach than coordinator. The job skill are very different

@DanHellie: At just 27 years old Sean McVay is taking a huge step to OC but he was easily the most respected young coach on Shanahan's staff.

As a Bengals fan, I don't see what Gruden has done to warrant such interest from so many teams for him to be a HC, but I am glad it happened. Get him out of Cincy.

Gruden needs to trade Cousins to the Bengals now. Bengals trade Dalton to Raiders or Vikings.

Prime example of how everything is a rumor and nothing is certain until they sign a deal.
Thanks, I had no idea that rumors weren't final until a deal was signed.

:revelation:
So you are telling me that no one ever talks about rumors as if they are truth before a deal is signed and finalized?

Wow. Did you see ANY of Cousins' last 3 games? This is simply an absurd statement. As a Redskins fan, it makes me feel pretty good about your Jay Gruden opinion!

I liked his offense and really think he helped Andy Dalton improve each year. I just got sick of them giving up on the run, especially when it was effective.
