Already next year Ed Reed is cheaper to cut than to keep. Still they gave him a $5m signing bonus this spring which I suppose is a powerful incentive to play him at some point this year.Looove me some Swearinger. Figured it'd take a year, but with Reed being limited he could wind up being startable from jump.
That said, dunno how much of a sleeper he is anymore. Pretty highly publicized by now that Reed may not be ready for their opener.
Yes, he played very well, 6 or 7 tackles in the first half and a forced fumble. He also seemed to play with some aggression and some speed, definitely not afraid to mix it up.Duke Ihenacho is looking very interesting. Cecil has commented on him as standing out Denvers camp so far. Reports say he has been running with the 1st team recently, and he put up a solid stat line tonight. 7 tackles and 1 forced fumble. A quick look at cbssportslines full play by play shows him putting that stat line by midway through the 2nd quarter. If anyone saw that game I'd like to hear some input. Does he look as good as his stats? Quick blurb from rotoworld says he has been on the practice squad for 2 years.
FBG's depthcharts have Robinson listed third, presumably the nickle back, but yet NFL Gamebooks for preseason games 2 and 3, when Rhodes was active, still had Robinson starting and Rhodes subbing in later. Not sure if he is a sleeper but I think Xavier Rhodes could have a big year
Anyone heard if he has the starting job?Yes, he played very well, 6 or 7 tackles in the first half and a forced fumble.
