Seriously, somebody in one league picked up Billy Miller
Billy Miller outscored Shockey last year. And yes, that includes when you average it out per game. I'm just sayin'.
Shockey switched teams, had surgery during the middle of the season and still ended up with 50 receptions and 483 yards.
:X
Yep, there's always an excuse for him.If you could actually get him cheaply (like anywhere near what his production over the past couple of years would put him) I might consider picking him up. But there are way too many guys out there who still think he's a top 4/5 type guy for that to happen.
My opinion is that he's a slightly above average (starting NFL) talent but has injury and character issues that drop his value considerably.

In a 7 year career, he's never had more than 7 TDs, never had a full season, and never broke 900 yards, despite a ton of opportunity for the most part. His only truly excellent season was in '05. All the others have been "meh".
The Giants decided he really wasn't worth the trouble any more, and I basically concur. It's just always something with this guy, and he DOESN'T have the outrageous talent to make up for it.
