If Chad Ochocinco is really the second most influential person on Twitter, it only makes sense that those less influential than him will try to take him down a peg.

“Man I think this cat @ochocinco is a clown,” Packers tight end Jermichael Finley wrote Thursday. “Bruh soccer seriously, sit down an wait for this lockout to b over and play what u no best.”

In a series of tweets to follow, it became clear that Finley didn’t get a good reaction to his message.

“I guess people dont come at people real these days. #Stand4Something,” Finley wrote.

(Yes, stand for important things you believe in. Like calling out a dude for playing soccer.)

Ochocinco, of course, responded. Which was probably Finley’s intent in the first place. More followers!

“You always expect the negative to come from the outside but it’s sad as f— when it comes from within, that’s some funny s–t!!!” Ochocinco wrote. “[shout out] everyone who has a negative opinion pertaining to me. And [shot out] to me for consistently being able to NOT GIVE A F—!”

Well, perhaps Ochocinco can get the best revenge by actually making Sporting Kansas City, the MLS team he’s trying out for. After a rough first day, the Kansas City Star writes Ochocinco was noticeably better Thursday.

“Just one day after losing the ball three of the four times he touched it, Ochocinco was more aggressive, more confident and actually had a few highlights,” Terez A. Paylor writes.

One of those highlights — a good cross after Ochocinco trailed down a ball in the corner — even got a standing ovation from his new teammates.

“He actually had two of the best crosses in the games today,” coach Peter Vermes said.

he is kind of a clown. He's entertaining and jokes around and performs and...if only Finley meant it in a nice way

LOL
If I laugh at every illiterate and nonsensical twitter post that NFL players make, I don't think I'd have a chance to breathe. Jus dosn't fase me n e more.

Looks like he has a mouth on him:

Finley has come a long, long ways since his washout rookie season. He made more news with his mouth last year than with his play, infamously criticizing quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ passes and coach Mike McCarthy’s play-calling after an overtime loss at Tennessee.

Finley doesn't always have that censor in his head telling him when not to say something...but some of the hate for him in here is interesting.

Oh, and he is right. Ocho is a clown. But an entertaining one for sure.

I bet Finley comes into camp out of shape.
What would make you think that? The guy has always been in pretty good shape. And if you believe what he writes on Twitter...he is working his butt off to rehab and be ready to go.
I just recall him not having a stellar work ethic for some reason. Though thinking about it now, I think that was more to do w/ playbook stuff and meetings more than the weight room.

IIRC it wasn't the work ethic that was a problem but trouble picking up the offense.

Yeah...he had more issues being on the field ready with that than being in shape. Guy seems to love working out.

:goodposting: One of the big reasons I targeted him in dynasty this year is because he's working like mad to get back.

I don't really see much hate for him in this thread. The fact that he comes across as unintelligent isn't hate at all, it's simply an opinion. He could be a great guy, I don't know, but he isn't showing himself in a very flattering light with these types of comments. IMO of course.
