Jerramy Stevens? (1 Viewer)

Jeremay Stevens (TE) is out for another 4-5 weeks with a knee injury. When he returns from his injury, what will his FF value be?

I really like Stevens' value when playing. If DJax is not back by then (which he should be) the value goes even higher.

Drafted him as TE2 last weekend, just so I can instantly IR him and p/u Jennings (or someone else that looks interesting). Worst case it's a 4 week audition period.

The knee sounds rough, so value wise it's tough to predict now. Had more cartilidge (sp) removed / cleaned up in the same knee he had cut on in the off season (IIRC). Look at the training camp injury thread pinned above for better details. Maybe back week 3/4 with a couple weeks to get back in "game shape".

Regardless, this guy was 13th or so TE rank wise BEFORE this speed bump, so not really a "starter" anyway in a 12 team league (unless you have manlove for him).

Considering all that, and his less than perfect knee, he's probably a decent TE option w DJax taking some pressure off. Not really trade worthy if that's what you're getting at.

Thanks. What I'm getting at is that he's a free agent in our league, and I was thinking of picking him up and keeping him on the bench until he returns. We start 2 TE's in our 12 team league, so you can see why I'm asking...

There's GOT to be better options for a TE2 than JS. *I use initials so hook will stay off my back for spelling* ;) Scheffler (did I get that one right?)

Remember that Stevens and Mili had been splitting time before Mili was injurred last year. Either the injury itself caused Stevens to get the break he needed, or it took him a while to get it.

If its the former, then unfortunately I can see them reverting back to splitting time... or even worse, Mili could step up and be the guy (though I think Stevens is the better receiving tight end).

If its the latter then Stevens could retake his job when healthy and be worth picking up.
