Most of my morals are fantasy too..........Lol at fantasy morals.
ExactlyI don't get where everyone is coming from with not wanting him on your team because of his personal life. I mean, you do realize that he isn't REALLY on "your" team and that it's just fantasy football right? It'd be like if you found out the Ace of spades was convicted of assault on the 2 of clubs so now you fold AA whenever its dealt to you because you're too good a man to win a pot with that scummy, good 'fer nuthin Ace.

It's a first for me. He's also the first player that I'm literally rooting for to get hurt. I hate the fact that he's on my favorite team. I'm glad the Bucs won, but I didn't cheer when it was him that scored the game tying TD versus the Bears.Otis said:Lol at fantasy morals.
No, it doesn't endorse his personal lifestyle, but I certainly would hate to actually be "rooting" for him. It would be the same thing if my team signed him. Obviously, you want your team to do well, but I certainly would not be happy about having to hope that this scumbag does well; however, I have no control over what player my NFL team signs.I do, however, control what marginal FA TE pickups I make for my fantasy team, so I choose to not sign rapist repeat-offending scumbags so I can avoid rooting for them to do well. I get where they morality non-police are coming from, with the get-off-your-high-horse schtick it's just FF, but Stevens is not winning or losing you championships. He is a fringe player, so it's not like picking him up or not picking him up makes or breaks you. If people would prefer not to have to pull for this human turd in any capacity, that's their (our) prerogative.tonydead said:LOL, Newsflash, having Stevens on your fantasy team does not endorse his personnel life in any way. Cheering for him if you are a Bucs fan doesn't either. In FF its all about getting points, points that don't care what the guy does in his personal life. Probably the similar thinking Gruden has with the guy in real life football. I picked him up to spell Shockey in several leagues.Stevends transcends (descends?) your typical bar fight transgressions. Most "trouble" players have one or two isolated instances, but he has a long and extensive history that has shown no signs of improving, and yet he keeps getting chance after chance. I guess some people can completely look past such heinous character and root for laundry, and I can look past a lot myself, but I draw the line at this piece of human garbage.Yes, he's a piece of ####. So are about 10-15 players on all your favorite NFL teams and probably half the guys on your fantasy rosters. What world are you people living in? I would root for Satan if he could run a 4.3 40 and get open.I'm disappointed that an NFL team gave him a chance.

The article was horrific enough, but did anyone read the comments? Some UW fans outraged that this article was printed. Their defense for their positions being that it's old news or that it happens everywhere. Revolting. As I type I am shaking my head in disgust.Google "jerramy stevens seattle times". They did a pretty comprehensive piece on him and the enabling culture of Washington football in general. Suffice to say, it does not paint the picture of the model human being.I agree with others that I draw the line on having a scumbag like this on my team that I have to root for for marginal production.I've been living in a hole... why is he such a bad human being?
I started week 1 with Crumpler and LJ Smith. I dropped Crumpler after week 1 and picked up Fasano. Fasano is on bye this week and it looks like LJ Smith is dinged up and hasn't performed well after week 1 so I had to drop him and pick up Jerramy Stevens. I chose him over Crumpler and Scaife who were also on the wire.I don't think many people have the room for Stevens right now. Chances are if you needed a TE real bad you landed Fasano, Royal, or Rosario. I think Stevens could be better than those guys, but people may be a little hesitant to drop them right now.
Reminds me of a few fellow Bucs fans in here. The article was horrific enough, but did anyone read the comments? Some UW fans outraged that this article was printed. agreed, IF Rae Carruth was still in the league and productive I'd put him on my squad in a minute. same thing with OJOtis said:Lol at fantasy morals.
Yeah, the people involved, (police, team mates, coaches, etc.), really stooped to a low level supporting this #####. It almost makes you wonder if the environment he grew up in played some part in what happened. Always getting off the hook, and being able to do whatever you want has probably given the butt raper a feeling of invincibility. If he sucked nobody would care about him, and he would probably be in jail. He is getting used by coaches for their personal gain, and ego. Coaches like Gruden don't really have tight of relationships with their players anyways, and treat them more like commodities that can be bought, sold, and traded. The article was horrific enough, but did anyone read the comments? He actually had an endzone target but the defender knocked it away. I picked him up hoping for a TD and at least he had a shot at one. This worked out pretty well.
