Jerramy Stevens (1 Viewer)

I don't get where everyone is coming from with not wanting him on your team because of his personal life. I mean, you do realize that he isn't REALLY on "your" team and that it's just fantasy football right? It'd be like if you found out the Ace of spades was convicted of assault on the 2 of clubs so now you fold AA whenever its dealt to you because you're too good a man to win a pot with that scummy, good 'fer nuthin Ace.
:lmao:Exactly

Lol at fantasy morals.
It's a first for me. He's also the first player that I'm literally rooting for to get hurt. I hate the fact that he's on my favorite team. I'm glad the Bucs won, but I didn't cheer when it was him that scored the game tying TD versus the Bears.

I'm disappointed that an NFL team gave him a chance.
:thumbdown:Yes, he's a piece of ####. So are about 10-15 players on all your favorite NFL teams and probably half the guys on your fantasy rosters. What world are you people living in? I would root for Satan if he could run a 4.3 40 and get open.
Stevends transcends (descends?) your typical bar fight transgressions. Most "trouble" players have one or two isolated instances, but he has a long and extensive history that has shown no signs of improving, and yet he keeps getting chance after chance. I guess some people can completely look past such heinous character and root for laundry, and I can look past a lot myself, but I draw the line at this piece of human garbage.
LOL, Newsflash, having Stevens on your fantasy team does not endorse his personnel life in any way. Cheering for him if you are a Bucs fan doesn't either. In FF its all about getting points, points that don't care what the guy does in his personal life. Probably the similar thinking Gruden has with the guy in real life football. I picked him up to spell Shockey in several leagues.
No, it doesn't endorse his personal lifestyle, but I certainly would hate to actually be "rooting" for him. It would be the same thing if my team signed him. Obviously, you want your team to do well, but I certainly would not be happy about having to hope that this scumbag does well; however, I have no control over what player my NFL team signs.I do, however, control what marginal FA TE pickups I make for my fantasy team, so I choose to not sign rapist repeat-offending scumbags so I can avoid rooting for them to do well. I get where they morality non-police are coming from, with the get-off-your-high-horse schtick it's just FF, but Stevens is not winning or losing you championships. He is a fringe player, so it's not like picking him up or not picking him up makes or breaks you. If people would prefer not to have to pull for this human turd in any capacity, that's their (our) prerogative.

I generally don't care what the player has or hasn't done but Stevens is such a P.O.S. that I refuse to roster the guy. I will not root for him to do well. And if a player is on my team I'll root for them to score loads of points.

I don't hold a grudge against Vick and I feel he got a bum rap (relatively speaking) by the media and fans in general but Stevens has repeatedly shown to be an absolute scumbag and until he's shown a consistent change in his behavior I will never allow him on my team.

To each their own. I won't ridicule anyone for placing him on their team.

I've been living in a hole... why is he such a bad human being?
Google "jerramy stevens seattle times". They did a pretty comprehensive piece on him and the enabling culture of Washington football in general. Suffice to say, it does not paint the picture of the model human being.I agree with others that I draw the line on having a scumbag like this on my team that I have to root for for marginal production.
The article was horrific enough, but did anyone read the comments? Some UW fans outraged that this article was printed. Their defense for their positions being that it's old news or that it happens everywhere. Revolting. As I type I am shaking my head in disgust.

I don't think many people have the room for Stevens right now. Chances are if you needed a TE real bad you landed Fasano, Royal, or Rosario. I think Stevens could be better than those guys, but people may be a little hesitant to drop them right now.
I started week 1 with Crumpler and LJ Smith. I dropped Crumpler after week 1 and picked up Fasano. Fasano is on bye this week and it looks like LJ Smith is dinged up and hasn't performed well after week 1 so I had to drop him and pick up Jerramy Stevens. I chose him over Crumpler and Scaife who were also on the wire.

I'm stuck playing Zach Miller or Delaine Walker this weekend. I won't pick up Stevens...and somebody else just picked him up.

Reminds me of a few fellow Bucs fans in here.

Yeah, the people involved, (police, team mates, coaches, etc.), really stooped to a low level supporting this #####. It almost makes you wonder if the environment he grew up in played some part in what happened. Always getting off the hook, and being able to do whatever you want has probably given the butt raper a feeling of invincibility. If he sucked nobody would care about him, and he would probably be in jail. He is getting used by coaches for their personal gain, and ego. Coaches like Gruden don't really have tight of relationships with their players anyways, and treat them more like commodities that can be bought, sold, and traded.
