In Jerry Jones' mind a deal between the NFL and the Players Association could be completed immediately.

He's merely urging other clubs to hurry up and agree.

"It's been my experience that when you have a deal that works between the negotiating parties that it's real risky if not careless to not go ahead and do it," Jones said. "There are a lot of unforeseen things that might pop up that could derail it. We've been working on this extension for years. There are no issues at this point that everybody doesn't already understand. To push it to the midnight hour when you look at the consequences involved is walking a tightrope."
