Don't read too much into it. Curry worked with the first unit also.

So what do people make of Jerry Porter's situation?

Just drafted Porter in the 12th round of my draft tonight. Seems like a steal if, as I expect, Porter returns to the Raider starting lineup. I figured between Gabriel being traded and Curry still coming back from his 3rd achilles tear, the Raiders must be ready to deal with Porter.

Dude was a late 3rd/early 4th round pick last year. He nearly slid out of our draft.

But I'm just guessing here. Any Raider/Oakland fans have any real insight into Porter's situation?

Settle down, Nancy. Just commenting on the precipitous slide of one Jerry Porter from last year to this all of which is surrounding the usual offseason contract squabbles, etc. Deion Branch, who is no more than two-thirds the WR that Porter is, is having a near apocalyptic meltdown with New England. Yet he is still getting drafted in the mid to late rounds.Porter? He's going virtually undrafted. That's crazy.He'll play again. He's too good not to. And the Raiders have nobody else of his caliber - besides Moss of course.

Hard to read much here because Porter would at least need to work with the first team for 3 receiver sets and to be a viable back up in case Moss/Curry go down, right?

I have to believe Curry will be given every opportunity though this is still potentially significant news.
