I just drafted on Saturday and picked up Porter in the 13th round. I got mocked for doing it but figured what the hell, picks 13-15 are just sleeper and kicker picks.

So does anyone know what the deal is up there with Porter, Is he playing this year and if so will he be the number 1 WR or has Curry passed him?

Yes he's playing. He's WR 1A in the Oakland offense, Curry being 1B. I for one am pretty high on Porter, I think he'll have a very nice rebound year.

I personally like Curry better than Porter this year, plus Curry is available at a cheaper price.

I think Porter is one of the few guys with top-20 upside who can be had much, much later. I have tried to acquire him on the cheap in many dynasty leagues and hope to see him emerge as a solid receiver once again.

Agreed - I like Curry more, and think he's flying under the radar of many.

I'll take whichever one (porter/curry) I can get later. I have a hard time seperating the two.

Both are worth a late round flier, IMO. Either one could have a decnt season and could EASILY outperform their draft position. I took Porter late with the hopes he can return to form from a couple of years ago. If not, no big deal.

exactly. Got him in the 12th.He'll sit on the bench for the first few games to see where he stands on the team, but will be the first drop if it looks like a potential Boldin/Colsten is out there.I'd rather have a guy like Porter then a rookie with potential that you might hesitate to drop because you want to give him more time. If Porter doesn't do anything thru Game 2, i'll drop him.
